Perfect location for hiking and exploring - really beautiful views of the mountains from the communal area. Staff were also amazing! Isabel was lovely, very friendly and extremely helpful. Sebastian was also a great help, allowing us to hang out our wet tent in the laundry area ☺️

In the evenings, the hotel's restaurant serves delicious cuisine and fine wines amid a sophisticated atmosphere. The hotel is top quality. Starting with clean and cozy rooms, forthcomming and caring personnel ending with absolutely fabulous dinner. Greatly furnished rooms with large enough beds (I have difficulty with this in 90% of the hotels) were cherry on top. Gorgeous view from the balcony as well as high quality spa and tasty afternoon snacks were great surprises!

Situated in Wallgau, Alpenhof Wallgau is a recently renovated accommodation, 17 km from Richard Strauss Institute and 17 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen City Hall. The hut is really nice and clean. There are cosy places to sit outside and a small lake where you can swim and enjoy the sun. Breakfast and dinner were great. The people working here are also super friendly. One important thing, you can only reach it by foot in a 1h-hike (if you’re fit in 45 min) so keep that in mind.

The host replies within a few minutes, she was able to answer all queries.
