The eco-luxe pavilion we stayed in was well-designed, clean and close to the amenities such as restaurants, Madja, Kulki boardwalks, and Thornton’s Beach lookout. In the evening, we also enjoyed sitting on the day-bed at the verandah, observing the sights and sounds of the floral and fauna of the Daintree Rainforest. Lilian and Kim were excellent hosts — hospitable, warm and friendly.

You could hear a nearby creek and birds all the time.it was so special. Close to Daintree Observatory. Easy drive to Cape Tribulation. No wifi and generally no phone reception.

The property provides a children's playground and outdoor furniture. This is a quaint house set on a beautiful property. The house is quite spacious. Two bedrooms, large kitchen-dining area. Comfortable beds. Laundry-washing machine. You need to bring your own detergent. It is not hooked up to warm water, so only cold water wash which you have to program. No dryer-but there is a drying rack and a clothesline with clothespins in the garden. Nice big garden with furniture to sit outside front and back. There is also an outdoor dining table and a BBQ. No shampoo is provided. Shower has good water pressure. In the kitchen-toaster, kettle, panini press, pots and pans, etc. A dishwasher with soap provided. We enjoyed our stay here. Very quiet and peaceful. There is a pub down the road with some of the best French fries I have ever had. There is No WIFI.

Villa Zena is a colonial-style holiday villa situated in the heart of the pristine Cape Tribulation valley. The Villa is surrounded by a magnificent garden and a tropical fruit orchard. It is only a 15-minute walk to beautiful beaches.

The villa is located in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, and is within a World Heritage Listed Area. It is reputed to be the world's oldest surviving rainforest. I liked the initial communication with the owner, everything was fully explained regarding access and facilities, surrounding activities and directions to the property etc. we were allowed to check in early which was brilliant as it gave us a whole day to unload the van and settle in. There were further texts to make sure we arrived safely, and apart from some annoying delays due to roadworks on the way it was a lovely drive. The property itself was a tranquil peaceful hideaway yet still close to the town and beach, we only went to the beach once as it was so lovely just sitting on the verandah overlooking the gardens and wandering around exploring the grounds. The sound of the birds and frogs and insects during the day and at night added to the enjoyment. The Villa was extremely well set up and every thing we could require for cooking was provided. WiFi was very strong no idea about the TV as we never used it due to having so much else to look at outside. The night walk was awesome it added a new dimension to the garden and pond and we even saw fireflies which gave the garden a magic touch. We slept so well each night, serenaded to sleep by natures chorus and our minds divesting all the work stress and other rubbish. The Villa was perfect and exactly as advertised and shown in the pictures.
