The Creek Side Lounge serves early morning coffee services, late dining courses and all food is home-cooked. It is located in the third floor of the establishment. One of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed in the entire world. We loved the property and all of the amenities were incredible! Free kayaks and bicycles and hiking trails to lookouts and hanging bridges. The list goes on and on, it was my wife’s favorite hotel that she’s ever stayed in and that says a lot because we travel more than 50% of the year.

Set in San Ignacio, less than 1 km from Cahal Pech, Hilltop Horizon Guesthouse offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. This recently renovated guest house is located 17 km from El Pilar and 26 km from Barton Creek Cave. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. We really enjoyed the owners of the property. Everyone there was super friendly and gave us good tips on things to do and things to see. They always said hi when we left and again hi when we got back. We really felt at home here. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. We liked that we also could sit outside on the balcony area, or go down to the pool area. It's a walk down to the city center, but honestly, the restaurants around this hotel, is far better anyway. We traveled with our pet and the owners helped us get in touch with a vet to get a health certificate to continue to Guatemala. They also helped us to get a shared mini bus to Flores in Guatemala that had no problems waiting for us at the border while we got all papers stamped for our dog.

With lake views, this accommodation features a balcony. The infinity pool features a pool bar and fence. The villa is located about a 10 min drive from San Ignacio. It’s quite hard to find, but you can ask anyone in town, they will know the host Larry. You definitely need a car. It’s a very nice little place in a beautiful setting surrounded with palm trees. It’s extremely quiet and that gives a nice break from San Ignacio. The beds are big and very comfy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family of 4 even without a living room. Larry can give you good advices about the activites in the area.

Just a 5-minute drive from the Cahal Pech Mayan Ruins, San Ignacio Resort Hotel offers an outdoor pool, an spa and fantastic jungle views. The Green Iguana Conservation Project is based on site.

Each bright air-conditioned room has elegant décor, free Wi-Fi and a furnished balcony overlooking the jungle. All rooms offer a safe, flat-screen cable TV and bathroom with a bathrobe, hairdryer and free toiletries Very clean and staff all very friendly and helpful. Pool area is great to relax after any trips, and food (we had breakfast and lunches) is very, very good. Short walk into town and the hill (slope!) is easily manageable!! Don’t believe anyone who says it isn’t unless you have genuine mobility issues.

With mountain views, Banana Bank Lodge & Jungle Horseback Adventures is located in Belmopan and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Free WiFi is provided.

There is also a kitchen in some of the units equipped with a fridge, an oven, and a microwave. Here’s a polished and engaging travel review for Banana Bank Lodge: A True Gem of Hospitality and Community My stay at Banana Bank Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The staff couldn’t do enough for me—attentive, kind, and always ready to assist. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly sets this place apart. What makes Banana Bank Lodge extraordinary isn’t just its breathtaking surroundings or the comfort it offers, but the passion and heart that go into every aspect of it. The owner is a true gentleman, going above and beyond to share the incredible history of the lodge and the meaningful work he and his wife have dedicated themselves to. This is far more than just a lodge or farm; it’s a living testament to their deep-rooted commitment to the land, the people, and the culture. Their philosophy is evident in every detail—from their respect for nature to their efforts in uplifting the local community. They don’t just run a business; they are actively making a positive impact wherever possible. It’s a shining example of how tourism can be a force for good, blending sustainability, hospitality, and cultural enrichment. Thank you, Banana Bank Lodge, for an unforgettable experience. I left not just with wonderful memories but with deep admiration for what you stand for. If you’re looking for a stay that’s more than just a vacation—a place that truly touches the heart—this is it. Highly recommended! Micheal 🇮🇪

Pine Ridge Lodge has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in San Ignacio. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 18 km of Barton Creek Cave. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. It took me nearly a month to come back to write this review. Simply because the experience is so exceptionally good that I don't know where to start. It was a dream experience that we keep talking about even weeks after leaving the place. "I want to go back to Pine Ridge Lodge" is a recurring sentence we say to each other. We even day-dreamed about moving to Belize and joining Neil. I could write thousands of words about Pine Ridge Lodge but that would exceed the limitation of the review length. All aspects were beyond perfect so I won't repeat all the check-box questions and answers that were already provided by Booking. I clicked on the faces with the biggest smile for all the questions and still feel that the smile is not large enough to reflect how our stay was. Neil and José's hospitality and genuine vibe was out of this world. We absolutely loved the daily routine of starting the day with a delicious breakfast tailor-made for us, accompanied by the sound of birds, the sounds of wind blowing on pine leaves, the golden sunbeam shining on our food, having a day out and coming back in the evening welcomed with a delicious home-made dinner at 19:00 that provides a lot of comfort and peace, spending the rest of the evening having very interesting conversations with Neil, being introduced to his beloved chicken and hearing his fascinating stories, walking back to our room in the dark watching so many stars in the dark sky that you would otherwise not have the chance to see anywhere close to cities, and falling asleep with the constant soothing sound of the waterfall right next to our room. I still drool every time I think of the beef cooked by Neil in his high pressure cooker. Maggie, one of the two super cute dogs liked to greet us and follow us around that added extra joy. We also very much appreciated not having wifi except in the dining area.
