In the surroundings great walks for my dog and cows with bells just nearby, truly Swiss atmosphere. Murten see with its old houses worth visiting especially by sunset, great atmosphere. Parking available, wifi super speed. Very close to Bern and Fribourg to explore. Payment possible in cash or by card.

We rented a vespa from the hotel and drove around the countryside - and the hotel packed us a picnic lunch of cheese, ham, bread and wine. The staff helped us find the best wineries nearby. We had an incredible dinner at the hotel our first night. I couldn't say enough amazing things about our stay here.

The bright rooms at the Truite Hotel feature wooden floors, a private entrance, and a bathroom. Everything. It's a truly cute historic hotel in a beautiful gorge I would never have found on my own. The rooms are nice, in a sort of historic-french decor. Breakfast is fantastic, nicely set, French bread, coffee to order, organic local yogurt, etc. Peaceful and quiet, a bucolic little river flowing by, walking trails, trees... it is all that it seems and more. Oh and fresh trout for dinner. What the French can do with a little butter, flour, lemon, and salt and pepper is amazing.
