Our rooms are connecting room with super nice lake view. The spa was too good to be true. There are choices of steam room and saunas, indoor and outdoor pool. We like the outdoor pool in particular, because it is clean and with less people. You can swim under water and ask your family member to take video or photos for you through the Bull"s Eye. Also, there is a floating pool in the spa which you should not missed. All in all, we had a great time in the spa.

The cleanliness is 10/10. The toilet has electric water spray! The breakfast is serves fresh and delicious food. This is our second time in the hotel!

The rooms at Engel Hotel feature white, empty walls, pine wood floors and straight lines. The monochrome bed headboards have built-in mirrors and halogen lighting. So clean. Excellent staff. Great choices and prices in the restaurant. I felt very safe

The restaurant serves fine seasonal cuisine with many products from local farms. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 6.30 pm. This was such a beautiful surprise. Haven’t enjoyed staying at a hotel in a loooong time. The ladies who run the place are super warm and welcoming. They host all guests for an Apero in the evening (maybe was a Xmas thing, but I loved it a lot) the room is spacious, clean, warm, nicely furnished, has coffee and tea facilities and a minibar. Comfy bed and a couch to lounge on. The dinner at the hotel was spectacular. Very meticulously curated 3 course dinner and the lady chef put all her love and creativity into the dishes. One massive plus: they arranged a welcome corner for my dog with a bed and two bowls.

Highly recommended to those looking to get away from the crowds! Beautiful location high above the valley, yet easy to get to via an aerial tram that departs from the Niederrickenbach train station, a short hop from Lucerne. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, the staff friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent and vegetarian friendly. This is a great starting point for hikes in a gorgeous part of Switzerland - near the hotel, there's a 4 person tram to the Musenalp on the mountain above (https://www.musenalp-nw.ch/bahn/) and it's a 20-30 minute walk to the most unique chairlift I've even encountered (https://haldigrat.ch/). We only stayed two nights - next time we're planning on a longer stay!
