One thing to note: they also offer tours, which we unfortunately didn’t know about in advance as we had already booked with another company. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended!

The property also provides a shared kitchen, tea class, cooking class, calligraphy class and Zen experience. Wow! The staff here is very friendly. She loved telling us about all the best local spots. You can really feel the warmth of her service. On our first night there, we didn't want to go out because we were tired after a long day of travel so the staff showed us a demonstration of pouring Chinese tea using the artistic tea set they have. She also gave us some local Chinese desserts so that we could enjoy a quiet night drinking tea and chatting. A very personal experience.

Overall, the best and most thoughtful host I’ve ever stayed with!

Just 5 km from Yangshuo, The Giggling Tree is an unique guest house which is located in the tiny village of Little Mountain Gate. It features traditional farmhouses, a beautiful courtyard and an outdoor swimming pool. Free WiFi access is available. All their staff were so amazing and went out of their way to take care of my family and I. They’re super helpful and their service was absolutely top notch. I love how they have their on site restaurant and served great western and Chinese food which meant we could pretty much choose to stay in the hotel all day long if we wanted to. It made meals for kids a lot easier and stress free! The small touches pushed the experience over the top - when I brought an apple to the courtyard for breakfast they immediately asked if I wanted it peeled and cut!

It is managed by Shelly, the owner and a lively warm hearted lady who always has a smile on her face. The outdoors space by the pool smells of Jasmin Flowers and big butterflies everywhere. And then the views of the karst landscape and the city down below everywhere you look. its is slightly away from the Town, roughly 16 minutes by scooters which you can rent at the reception. I LOVED this place. I felt home. Wei wei the chef, Xing xing the cleaning lady, Craig the main receptionist and of course Shelly have left a print on my heart. If you are visiting the area, this is thee absolute best value for your money situation. That being said, Yangshuo is an all around kind and hospitable city so i am sure that wherever you end up will be Sweet.
