This was such a beautiful accommodation in a fabulous location for accessing Poas National Park. We loved the cosiness of the tent, the outside seating area and the beautiful setting too. Brilliant stay new building which was very clean. Secluded location and seen lots of wildlife right outside our door in the morning with toucans and hummingbirds on trees just outside and even seen a sloth when leaving. Host was very friendly and helpful and would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed excellent pasta at La Forchetta nearby.

We loved being amongst all the animals, close to the nature. We ended up extending our stay one night.

Their patio has a tree, plants, chairs and a pool with fish and waterfall. The dining room is next to the patio. The bunk beds have privacy curtains and the beds are comfortable. This is an enjoyable family environment. There is a place to hang clothes to air dry, and access to a washer and dryer for a reasonable cost. They can drive you to many locations near or far for great rates. The hostal is in a controlled community. There are good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. And downtown Alajuela is a 20 minute walk. Alajuela is a very safe community to walk and enjoy the restaurants, parks, shopping, etc. Buses to and from the airport are in Alajuela (20 minute walk) or they can drive you to/from the San Jose Airport, which is a 10 minute drive.
