We also made use of a very comfortable guest lounge, with guides and other books. The chateau, furnishings and design are stunning! Our bedroom (and adjoining bathroom) was one of the best we have stayed in, with a very comfortable bed. We were also encouraged to share the large and beautiful garden, where we had a welcome drink from Alexia. The chateau is very well located for travel to/from Calais, and there is plenty to do in the area. We particularly enjoyed visiting Le Touquet. Excellent suggestions for restaurants from Alexia. We had the evening meal with lots of lovely food, not expensive and the ice cream sundae with fruit from their garden was exceptional (Michael was the waiter) We had a very restful night and felt refreshed, ready for the next stage of our journey. The breakfast(included in the room price was excellent with fresh bread and another fruit sundae. Could not have faulted anything.(but see below)
