The owners and staff really care about their guests, and the details of a great stay—from an extremely friendly check-in to a generous parting gift of cold water and a Madeleine. The design of the rooms is also very good. They're generous with amenities - there's a Nespresso machine, and the mini bar has free water and soft drinks. The pool and jacuzzi area is nice and peaceful, and the breakfast is very good. They also offer bicycles to hire at reasonable prices, so you can easily have a nice cycle through the beautiful residential green streets if you want to explore the area or head to the beach. It's a great place to stay, and I would love to come back.

Pascal and his team have made our trip to Le Thor one we will never forget. What a great host and absolutely the prime location if you want to experience the countryside of France. The rooms are huge and cozy, they feel like royalty rooms. The breakfast included was amazing: fruits, yogurt, bread, etc. Definitely worth it to pay extra for the spa - it just adds so much to the overall experience. Lastly, Pascal made sure we had the best stay - we didn’t have a car so he helped arrange for our cabs and restaurants. We feel very nostalgic looking back at our stay. If there is an accommodation that has set a high standard for us - it is Les Carmes. <3

This campsite is set on the river bank, located in the village of Castellane, within a 5-minute drive of the Verdon Gorge. Free WiFi is provided in public areas and the property has a table tennis table as well as a boules pitch. At night it was quiet once the dinner had finished, but it had a great vibe as offered a group dinner, which looked lovely. The location was great, only a 5 minute car ride into town, stunning location, and the pod we stayed in was so cute and cosy. Absolutely loved it here! And allow dogs..
