We were offered yummy fried bananas and tea when we arrived and breakfast the following morning was fabulous -our best so far.

It is very clean, comfortable and the staff is extremely polite and helpful. The pool and the rooftop view point are very nice for a lazy day. Food at the restaurant is not bad, but I wish the restaurant accepts credit card, so non locals do not have to carry a lot of cash. Our flight to Komodo airport leaves before 9 am when the breakfast starts, but the hotel staff graciously prepared box breakfast for us.

But the owners are the real gems. Maria is so kind and hospitable, and her meals are plentiful and delicious. We spent a day on the beach, and she arranged fresh coconut drinks for us – no charge. Ernesta and Irwin were the best, they were kind and thoughtful and even brought us to a neighborhood party which was an amazing experience. The food for dinner and breakfast was some of the best we’ve had in Flores, and the room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed staying here and felt like we were a part of the family. We were sad to leave.

Located in Nangalima, Anjo Maumere Hotel & Restaurant offers 1-star accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a bar. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The accommodation provides entertainment staff and room service. Love everything. It's like a little gem in Maumere. Wish i could stay a little bit longer here. Next time sure will be back and stay at Anjo.

HAPPY DIVE RETREAT fka Ankermi Happy Dive features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a private beach area and terrace in Hitokalak. The property has a bar, as well as a restaurant serving Indonesian cuisine. The rooms have a patio with a garden view. We had a great time at happy divers. The location on the water is beautiful. Claudia the owner, is very friendly and helped us with many tips and organising a snorkelling trip.
