Big Supermarket for any daily needs is nearby at walking distance. Bang on main road .

We booked this hotel for 3 nights. After the first night in the twin room with a mountain view (the one we booked), we got an upgrade to a king room with a mountain view which we highly appreciated. This room was fabulous -tidy, spacious, the fridge, the tea kettle and the best view ever. We watched the sunrise and the sunset from our private balcony. The beds were comfortable to have a good quality sleep. The new hotel is owned by the family and all the members work together to take care of it. Upon arrival we were introduced to most of them. The family are sociable, helpful, ready to assist if you need anything. Mother (um Sohip -I'm not sure if I have written the name correctly) cooks tasty dinners with vegetables and olives from their own garden and the orchard. The surroundings are very well taken care of - the olive trees, roses, cactuses. The hotel owners have two dogs (we saw just one), very friendly cats (which will not bother you if you are not a cat person, though), two beautiful horses. During our stay we took a day trip to Wadi Ghuweir (highly recommended!!!) , an hour's drive from the hotel to Wadi Ghuweir parking lot, explored the village of Dana.

A recently renovated property, Plaza de petra is situated in Wadi Musa near Petra, College of Archaeology, Tourism and Hotel Management. And Obelisk Tomb. Among the facilities at this property are a 24-hour front desk and a shared kitchen, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. When you meet Bader our host you are greeted by a friend. A most welcoming friend caring deeply for your well being! We asked if we could check in really early and he said yes immediately - even though finally we made it to Wadi Musa later. He even texted us for the exact time, so as to switch on the AC in advance in our room. We found a very comfortable room and we parked the car just outside the location. We were greeted with chilled orange juice and small sweet treats. Even though we could use everything from the kitchen - cooking utensils as well as cooking oil, eggs, hummus, bread and cheese, and also coffee, tea and juice - our room had coffee, tea, cold water and fridge we could use as well. As we had to leave pretty early so as to catch the morning sun in Petra and thus missing the breakfast, Bader, prepared for us breakfast in lunchboxes the night before so that we would have food with us (fresh fruit and snacks!). A superb gesture! Also, even though it would be past our check out time, Bader was really kind as to offer us the chance to take a shower and get a small rest after the Petra hike. Also points for the cleanliness of the place overall as well as our room too and a very good wifi connection.

We enjoyed every part of it and recommend it to anyone.

I liked the cosy rooms and clean shared bathroom, the garden with fruit trees and nice views, and the home-made Jordanian breakfast and dinner. The premises is also house to a flock of pigeons, ducks, a shy rabbit, an extremely friendly dog and a cat. My daughter loved playing with the animals and was quite upset when leaving the lodge. The lodge is in a secluded location, inaccessible by car (actually about a hundred meters down a trail starting from behind the local mosque)
