Attractively set in the Nakano district of Tokyo, GrapeHouse Koenji is situated 500 metres from Keimei Park, less than 1 km from Yamato Park and a 8-minute walk from Mabashi Park. Featuring a shared lounge, the 1-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. So clean, they clean everyday and it’s always spotless. The host is so lovely. Her dog is so cute and friendly too! Sometimes he’ll greet you at the door, this meant so much to me especially when I was missing my dog at home. The neighborhood is AMAZING. I love Koenji so much. A perfect, calm getaway from the city with still plenty of things to do. Great restaurants, thrifting, karaoke, parks, and Japanese vibes. Also Nakano is a 20 min walk away and they have a mall with Uniqlo and everything else you’d need. It’s easy to meet other people and make friends! Women-only was awesome and made me feel really safe. I can’t wait to go back and spend my entire Japan trip here. I shouldn’t have bothered with any other hotels. Nothing compares to Grapehouse Koenji!

A variety of restaurants at The Tokyo Peninsula cater Japanese, Cantonese and Western cuisines. Authentic high tea can be enjoyed at cafe The Lobby, while on the 24th floor Peter: The Bar offers cocktails, Modern French and sweeping Tokyo views. The room we occupied was both aesthetic and practical. The room had all the usual amenities as well as a very large dressing room. The design of the accomodation was elegant and unpretentious. Our stay included my birthday and without any notification the hotel provided a birthday cake and candles and a birthday greeting card, which was unexpected and well appreciated. We enjoyed both the breakfast and two evening meals in the lobby restaurant and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Kurumi of the staff was outstanding in her hospitality.

Set within a historic Japanese garden, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo offers spacious rooms with garden or city views and free Wi-Fi. On-site YU The Spa features massages with scented oils and traditional Japanese hot-spring baths. A glass-enclosed indoor pool and 3 dining options are featured.

Tokyo Chinzanso Hotel is a 25-minute taxi ride from JR Tokyo Train Station. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Edogawabashi Subway Station. It has a very nice atmosphere if you like classic design. A bit too Western but beautiful. The Gardens are spectacular. Make sure you see the Silk Clouds and Tokyo Moon show. I recommend experiencing it both in the evening and during the day. Nice spa, although onsen has only one pool. Very clean.

Situated in Tokyo, 1.5 km from Tetsugakudo Park and 1 km from Sengen Shrine, Sunshine offers a garden and air conditioning. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.3 km from Musashino Inari Shrine. Excellent and modern property that we stayed in on 2 separate occasions on our family visit to Japan. 3 comfortable and well-sized bedrooms along with 2 bathrooms all with new fittings and comfortable beds. Large dining/living area with large screen TV. Balcony to sit out on and all facilities worked well. Quiet, mostly traditional neighbourhood was welcome after the hectic atmosphere of central Tokyo. Stairs are not as steep as more traditional properties but still require some care. Owners communicated well and were generous to us. Having stayed in 6 accommodations across Japan this was clearly our family favourite and I'd highly recommend.
