Set in Colombo, the recently renovated Alakamandava features accommodation 10 km from Bambalapitiya Railway Station and 14 km from R Premadasa Stadium. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. I had a wonderful stay at Alakamandava spending 4 nights here at the beginning and end of a 2 week holiday. The beautiful apartment and location is peaceful and perfect to relax and unwind after a long flight, yet a short tuk tuk ride away from Colombo City. The hosts Dharshana and Bhagya ensure that you have everything you need, and the breakfast and meal choices were superb, really enjoyed the Sri Lankan options (although I had to Google some things, and there's also Pasta and Pizza etc.. As a solo traveller I felt completely safe here, it's very homely and so many pretty terraces to sit and look over the neighbourhood. I enjoyed watching the tree Squirells, and many different birds.. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sri Lanka.

I stayed here for a week, then returned for another 1.5 weeks. Benjamin easily accommodated my last minute request for a much needed early check in, as well as my last min booking for the second stay. I had the room on the top floor. It was beautiful and exactly like the pics. The AC worked very well and I could control it. The bathroom was very clean and nice, which is really my only requirement for a residence. The bed was super comfy and I really appreciated that there was a proper duvet. I also really like that there was a good hair dryer and it even had the attachments! Padmini and Gamini were wonderful hosts, and made me a fantastic breakfast every morning. This hotel started to feel like home. It is a few min walking distance to a small and modern shopping complex which has a good grocery store, a pharmacy, a Subway, Baskin Robbins, and Popeyes. It is a few mins walk from Mount Lavinia hotel and the beaches. The road can get a little dark at night, but I felt safe. It was very easy to call an Uber and it was walking distance to the main road, where Hotel Rd meets Dehiwala.

We had a lovely time at this homestay. The house is large and spacious with an abundance of room for everyone to have a comfortable stay. Inside the house was really clean and had all the amenities to make it feel like you were at home. The host was very friendly and helpful. The outdoor garden and veranda was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful & quiet. Didn't have time to play but you could play badminton. They even have rackets & net. Highly recommend this place that is located centrally in the heart of Colombo for those who seek quiet comfort with a luxury feel.

Mmm it was a total pleasure and the a gentleman to last minute, but I don’t think his care taker had any professional training, but he did his best, I hope next time I will learn about smoking when there are AC quid pro co, only 1 room had AC
