An absolutely incredible guesthouse with the most lovely hosts, and crazy good value for money. We had a beautifully decorated room, and there were several hangout spots both indoors and outdoors that you were welcome to spend time in. The breakfasts/dinners are served al fresco under a pergola overlooking the valley with rice paddies and beautiful birdsong. One of the absolute highlights was the free cooking class to make your dinner - we made 4-5 different curries with our rice and curry order, with the most delightful chef patiently waiting for us to weakly shred fresh coconut to make sambal!! About a 10-15 min tuktuk ride into town for an explore, which was very reasonably priced. I'm so glad we stayed here a bit away from the centre of town rather than in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hosts are also so welcoming and lovely, and speak excellent English. They also helped organise transport for us to Nuwara Eliya to our next stay. This was a genuinely edenic experience and we would absolutely come stay here again on a future visit to Sri Lanka.

The accommodation provides evening entertainment and a shared kitchen. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed! Jonti was always attentive, he kept the place clean and tidy, a kind soul to chat with! I enjoyed cooking and sharing food with my roommates, and just chilling out in the common area. Watching animals coming and going in the garden was fun - mongoose, monkey, parrot, Bengali monitor, woodpecker, kingfisher, hornbill, etc. Two minutes walk to the lake for sunrise/sunset. Truly a gem in Anuradhapura!

I had a wonderful and safe stay here as a solo traveller. Nimish is AWESOME - yes, all caps is truly necessary! Any questions, queries or needs Nimish solved everything - from getting quality tailor made clothes, to yummy food places, pick ups and drop offs to go to town, and even a trip to Dambulla Caves! Accomodation was clean, comfortable and quiet. PLUS, Amma is a 5-star cook so the food was top quality - so very yummy! Don't hesitate! Book those place! I'll be going back regularly 😊.

Located in Kandy and only 1.8 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall, No 06 Veediya Bandara Lane Bahirawakanda provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This recently renovated country house is located 1.9 km from Bogambara Stadium and 2.3 km from Kandy railway station. The accommodation features free shuttle service, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. The host and his family were very accommodating and welcoming. They were all lovely to be around, the gentleman gave us some good recommendations and helped with transport .. The stay felt like home. Clean and comfortable, the wifi was really good and we had a really delicious breakfast. It was about a 30 minute walk into the city down hill, 5 minute Tuktuk back up for 200-350 SLR (uber or pick me). The bathroom needs a little love but it was a very good value for money and we both really enjoyed staying with the family. I would book again.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Pearl's Homestay Matale is a recently renovated holiday home situated in Matale, 27 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. I loved everything, especially the owners, Pearl and Ranjan. They treated us like their own children—they are truly wonderful people. The breakfast was delicious; Pearl is an amazing cook, and Ranjan joined us for a walk around the area. If we ever return to Matale, this will undoubtedly be our stop again. Thank you for everything.
