The Lion Gate Hotel ultimately met all our expectations and not only did we have a great starting point for our activities around Sigiriya but also a place where we really enjoyed going to simply relax. The rooms are very nice, the facilities are new and modern. The service should be emphasized. Any type of requests were fulfilled immediately. I can highly recommend staying at Lion Gate Hotel.

Breakfast is amazing - Omelette, pancake with coconut and honey and fruit with a choice of a pot of coffee or tea. The room is a very good space and has a lovely outside seating area to while away the day or evening. Good location for Lion Rock and there is a local community shop 4 minutes away for convenience goods. The whole experience is in the name - Relax Nature. A very calming, tranquil and peaceful location with excellent service and attention provided by the host. Very highly recommended..
