Located in the lobby, the bar serves a wide range of cocktails. Guests can enjoy a great selection of wines from the hotel’s wine cellar or unwind at the bar, which also features a dance floor. The hotel is clean and smells nice. The staff is polite and kind. The gentleman with the magnificent mustache was extra helpful with our food intolerance, so thank you again!

Just 300 metres from the Jakubova lúka Ski Centre, this apartment house can be found 1 km from the centre of Starý Smokovec. It offers a self-catered accommodation with free WiFi in public areas and rooms. * Dedicated and covered parking lot. *Size and quality (recently renovated) of the room, available facilities in the room. * Insurance for mountainous rescue (hiking) service included as part of city tax payment

Horsky Hotel Sliezsky Dom is located in the heart of Tatra Mountains, 1670 metres above the sea level. It offers elegant rooms with mountain views, a flat-screen TV and a minibar. Limited WiFi is available for free and a high-speed internet connection is provided for a surcharge. A magical stay surrounded by mountains, forests, a lake and a stream. We enjoyed the view from the window and the spa in every weather. At least 4 different nature trails start from the hotel door and they're all nice. Instead of googling "Tatras best hikes", just start walking in any direction from Velické Pleso and you won't regret it. Generous buffet at breakfast and dinner and delicious food and drinks for lunch. If you read negative reviews about the "tourist restaurant", note that that's the backpackers hut. The hotel restaurant is only available to hotel guests and the lunch options are delicious. We were told you can also ask for packed lunch for the hike, but it wasn't possible because we hadn't ordered it in advance. A free-of-charge spacious private spa by reservation with saunas and a beautiful view. You can send your luggage from their lower parking lot at the Tatranská Polianka railway station by their van and hike to the hotel. You can even leave it in a storage unit for them to pick up, you just need to coordinate in advance.

The ski slopes are 200 metres away. Perfect location with stunning lake and mountain views. Close to hiking trails, the lake promenade, and the cable car. Excellent breakfast, tasty and fairly priced meals at the restaurant. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and an amazing wellness area with saunas and jacuzzis. Everything was just perfect – we didn’t want to leave!

The staff were friendly and the best part of the stay was the outstanding spa! 10 stars for the spa!! I will definitely visit again.

Ideally located between the bus, tram and cog railway stations in Strbske Pleso, Hotel CROCUS offers spacious apartments with a balcony, a fully equipped kitchenette, and free wired internet.

The apartments come with a satellite TV, a safe and a bathroom with a hairdryer. It is difficult to speak about location in a village so small, nevertheless, this one has it the best - just a few steps from the train station, the supermarket and nearly all the restaurants. The suite is very comfortable in every aspect. There's a large wardrobe where one can dry their garments, which must be especially useful for skiing. There's also a kitchenette if you don't feel for a dinner in a restaurant. Beds are extremely comfy with a set of pillows of every size and softness. Very diverse and nutritious breakfasts. Ventilation in the bathroom and in the toilet is very efficient, humidity has no chance.
