Every night sitting with the family by the fire place was one of the highlights of my stay. We also cooked together one of the nights cause they wanted to try traditional Turkish food. They are very open minded and super nice people. If you want to enjoy nature and experience Thai culture this is a place to stay. I think I will be back at a certain point.

Perfect for those who want to stay outside the city in the nature or for a stop over on a motorbike trip.

The owner picked us up from the Thai check office and the next day took us to Chiang Khong to take the bus to Chiang Rai, at no extra charge. In the evening we ate excellent Thai food at their restaurant. Also in the morning his wife gave us delicious fruit from their garden as we left. Definitely highly recommended.

Communication was excellent, the place felt homely and it was close to the market, shopping centre, BIG C and 7-11.

Fully furnished property, fully equipped kitchen even with a washer and a dryer. A pouch of liquid detergent was there ready for us. I didn't check if it had a dish washer as we didn't need one. Full set of cutlery and table ware but we only found out in the last minutes as we didn't have enough time to check all the amenities. A perfect residential area as we preferred. If you drive it is a perfect 4 bedroom homestay for the price. Basically, it is a second home and has everything you need for your stay. Now, I am sitting in a hotel room of another town and regretting not staying in a homestay as there is no ice or ice tray in the hotel's measly fridge. 😕

We loved Suri Kachi so much, it’s beautifully designed and you can really tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into how to make your stay perfect even down to the smallest details! It’s still a wooden hut so don’t expect a super luxurious room, but for us it was the perfect mixture of rustic and upmarket. The hot water works well for a bath, the bed was comfortable and the area is quiet so it made for a very peaceful sleep. Their beautiful restaurant is also a very nice place to spend time and there you will find some adorable little cats. Dinner is available although we didn’t have it this time, but they did make us a delicious vegan breakfast and coffee with soy milk, which is so hard to find elsewhere in the mountains! We would love to come back to Suri Kachi again.
