The profits from the lodge go back to the island communities, so we paid dinner with pleasure.

The view from the property is breathtaking. The moment you arrive at the Villa you realize how quiet and peaceful it is. The mattress was new and comfortable and there is a mosquito net. Wycliffe the owner and his family will make sure you feel at home, he helped me even when I was sick in the stomach, he took me to the clinic and waited there with me until I was done. The property is around 8 km from Kabale town and there is a private motorcycle taxi service on demand for 20000 shillings, both ways. There are many activities to be done including kayaking and visiting the local communities provided by Wycliffe. Also they prepare delicious meals at the Villa. One thing that I appreciated is Wycliffes effort to help the local communities. Some of the revenues of the Villa go to the poorest. Thank you so much for helping me out in time of need 💕

At the hotel, rooms come with a balcony with a mountain view. This place is truly a hidden gem! I stayed 3 days 2 nights, wish I can stay longer. What makes this place so special are the staff. From the manager (pick up me at the town and send to the resort by boat), the boatman, local guide, chef, helper and all in the resort. This resort strategic location is perfect who love quiteness and really into the nature. Trust me once you are here you dont feel like to leave. A good location for a relaxing stay in Kabale, Amasiko Homestay Lake Bunyonyi is a guest house surrounded by views of the lake. We’re so happy we got the room with the balcony because it had such a beautiful view and we really enjoyed staying out there. Everyone there was lovely and helpful- when we got a flat tire, they found someone (affordable) to quickly fix it for us. And the food is incredible! We are vegetarians and we had lunch and dinner (and breakfast the following morning) and it was delicious and so memorable. Make sure to bring a flashlight, it’s dark at night! And you need to be able to walk up and down lots of steps.
