Stayed here back in Aug 2018 and decided to book again for two nights in June 2025. Had a pleasant experience for both stays. For the latest one, I booked a Double Room, which could in fact accommodate my family of four (2 adults and 2 young kids). During the check in, they upgraded me to a Triple Room for free. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and toilet was a luxury (comes with a jacuzzi tub). Breakfast spread was good as well. Hotel was also located centrally and within walking distance to the sights and shopping districts. If you are driving, take note they have an underground carpark on the same side of the hotel (just further down the road). The open space carpark is way more expensive.

The location is second to none! It’s right by the amazing walk above Andorra and towards La Massana. A perfect easy walk in the mountains. There are stairs down to Pyrénées shopping center. So in a couple of minutes you are in the center of Andorra La Vella with shopping and restaurants. But you are still above all the hustle, so it feels like a country hotel.

Booked last minute, had no idea abot this area or hotel, I just liked the photo with the lake. Wow, I was really enchanted by the lake and the mountain backdrop, it was very stunning. In the morning, with the sun rising, birds tweeting, and the still waters, I really wanted to be on a canoe in the middle of the lake and just absorb that energy. The staff are excellent, all of them from the reception to the restaurant. What I requested was given and I really appreciated them and the service in the hotel is five star all the way :)-

This is a wonderful hotel in a superb setting. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were delightful, the grounds are immaculate and the decor is beautiful - a 'Rocky Mountain' style lodge hotel in sunny Spain with the picturesque Pyrenees in the background. The food was all delicious, both the evening meal prepared by an excellent chef, and the plentiful breakfast. I have to eat gluten free and was well provided for, not always the case.

The location was absolutely amazing! Next to many trails, the river and around 20min beautiful walk to Benasque. Staff was very friendly. Wifi was easily accessible from the camping grounds. Supermarket within the grounds was convenient and sufficient. Bar/restaurant was great too! Room was comfortable and cozy. Hot water showers available and a ready kitchen. Nice to dip in the pool/river on a hot day too!

It was like staying in a fairytale. A small hotel, in a small village, located on a beautiful lake. The owners were delightful in every way, and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. Their recommendations on nearby activities and restaurants were excellent, as was the home cooking within the hotel. A wonderful and unique stay that was pure joy.

If you’re into shopping and chic brands then it’s worth a stop. Otherwise very crowded and lots of traffic and air quality was not very good as the place is located in a basin between mountains. 'Old' Ainsa is a relatively small but beautiful and interesting place. Our stay coincided with the end of their village festival, so there was plenty going on. On two nights we ate at a restaurant a couple doors down from the hotel, which specialised in pizzas but had many other options too - this was good, well-priced food, served very efficiently. We were based in Ainsa for quick access to the surrounding Pyrenees, and enjoyed two fabulous walks (Portal de la Cunarda and the Valle de Pineta). There's a large and cheap car park just outside the town walls (3 euros for 24hrs). There's also a very interesting bird of prey centre - museum and recovery centre - well worth a visit!

Good ski domain and easy access to the slopes.

Good ski domain and easy access to the slopes. Well managed ski slopes and helpful welcoming people all around. The only issue is the noisy nature of the town with a lot of drunk people shouting at night. The smell of joints is also very common everywhere, including on the chair lifts, almost as common as in Amsterdam before the change of rules. This should be better managed as I had not noticed this when I came 8 years ago. Shopping is limited if you don’t want cigarettes, alcohol, make up. A lot less options than a few years ago. Found lots of good restaurants with a wide variety of food options at reasonable value. Overall, a good base for skiing but with compromises.

I visited Benasque to compete in the Vuelta al Aneto trail race. The race started and ended in Benasque. Benasque is a great base for outdoor activities (hiking, trail running, mountain biking) with many shops providing gear and support for your adventures.
