The place has clearly gone through a full renovation and every detail has been taken care of. The bathrooms are spotless and completely new, with constant hot water thanks to the new solar panels. The beds were very comfortable – everything felt fresh, clean, and high quality. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, which made it super easy to cook and enjoy meals during our stay. I also appreciated the blackout curtains in the rooms, which kept the sun out in the morning and made for a great sleep. Outside, the garden areas are beautifully maintained with lots of greenery – a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The whole place feels peaceful, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. But what really stood out to me was the hospitality. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. You can tell they truly care about their guests and have worked hard to create a warm and enjoyable environment. Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of...
Ksamil is emerging as a tourist destination & the centre of the town at least seems to have opted to cater for those who prefer loud music / water activities on the beaches. That said, there is a good selection of bars & restaurants both in the centre of the town and on the main road into it. The hotel in which we stayed (Area Hotel) was excellent. Public transport is ok - there is a bus every 30 mins to Sarande or Butrint BUT it is packed & an experience in itself! Fares are 150 Lek (1.5 euro) each way. Taxis are available but cost approx 30 euro each way. Although card payment is accepted in most restaurants / hotels etc, it seems as though cash is king in Albania. Local currency (Lek) can be accessed once you're in the country by changing euro at one of the many exchanges.Guest review byStevenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Ksamil is a very beautiful resort with numerous stunning beaches and crystal-clear azure waters. There are plenty of quality restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that almost all beach spots are paid, meaning you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. The cheapest spots started at around €15 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, while more premium locations charged €30 to €40 per set. Luxury cabana-style spots could cost up to €70 per day. Almost everywhere accepted euros, so it was not necessary to exchange money into the local currency. Alternatively, you could pay in euros and receive change in the local currency (Albanian lek). The beaches are extremely beautiful and clean.
The beaches are extremely beautiful and clean. Renting sunbeds/umbrellas can be quite pricy. If you go in the afternoon they would charge you the same price on some beaches. Driving in Ksamil can be quite hectic. The streets are quite narrow and not all the streets have pavements and on streets where they are present either they are taken up by shops or else the people do not use the land walk in the middle of the road. Be careful if you are driving there especially during rush hour and parking is not easy. The restaurants are really good. We tried a lot of them and the food is delicious and most of them have very reasonable prices. We were always treated nicely from the staff.Guest review byJean PaulMalta
