The town had so much to see and was absolutely beautiful.
The town had so much to see and was absolutely beautiful. The Ottoman era area was preserved amazingly well, as were the other parts of the old city. There were nice stores. The old city juxtaposed well with the modern era shopping and walking street that ran along the canal and a park where the town residents were out gathering in the evening. Berat is a must see.
Berat is a must see. The people are super friendly and helpful. If you take the bus, find the bus stop to take it to the city centre. I walked 45 minutes from the bus station to the city centre. I wish someone told me I could take a bus ahead of time. When you leave, take the bus from the city centre.
