- The location was good. High up a small hill and about 10 min walk from the old town of Girokaster - The room was tastefully done and fairly large in size for our kids to play about - The hotel beakfast was very good with eggs to order, pancakes, fresh oranje juice etc - The hotel bar was open till late and we enjoyed a quiet drink while our kids were playing in the room above

The staff were fantastic. Very hospitable and provide you with transport to the old city. The rooms are also very spacious and comfortable. Would recommend it and will stay here again when I come back to Gjirokaster.

The hotel has the best possible setting in the old town, very close to the castle, and with spectacular views over the valley beneath. The rooms are beautiful with original ottoman wooden panels, doors, windows, decorations. The owner/staff are very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Great small hotel, newly renovated, very nice condition and very clean. Amazing staff, so nice and serviceminded. Great Albanian style breakfast. Located i an bit scruffy part of town, but only 5-10 min walk (uphill) from the old town center. Huge value for money! Would absolutely return.

A well appointed and luxurious stay the bed and shower the best we had encountered in Albania. The owners Arsen and Lindita were extremely helpful with any info you needed and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. The location was perfect beautiful view across the valley and nice and quiet yet 3 minutes walk to the old town. Great hotel !!!

    The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The location was great, right in the city center. We stayed in a family suite for two. The room was gorgeous and had an old-world feel with its stone walls. The restaurant was a lovely, peaceful oasis with stunning views. The service was first-class and really warm. When we arrived we were immediately greeted with cold lemon juice and marmalade. We can highly recommend the hotel to everyone!

    Wondeful hotel with fantastic views over the city, citadel, valley and mountains. The room was modern, spacious and spotless. The restaurant was good and the breakfast particularly copious, with loads of freshly made produces and delicious freshy squeezed orange juice.     I don't have any bad comment to add. everything was amazing, the room was super cozy, we were in a very cloudy days but I am pretty sure that the views to the castle were great, and the best thing was the delicious breakfast Matilda and her family gave us ! with a lot of mandarins from their own tree. thanks, I will really reccomend this stay

    Great value for money. I pais 35 eur for one night with breakfast included. Great location next to the bazaar. From the bus terminal you can take a taxi for 400LEK to the old town. Payment can be done by card but not with a contactless option as they claim that their terminal is not working contactless.

    Perfect!! The owner was super friendly and even parked our car for us in the very steep and narrow streets of the city. We had a very big and pretty room with terrace for a very good price. The view from the terrace was amazing. Also we had a very good breakfast in the morning.

    Amazing town in the mountains with a lot of history worth a few days. The experience as enhanced by our stay at the Hotel SS Kekezi a unique family run hotel full of character and a fantastic breakfast. The owner was so helpful. If your going search out a restaurant called The Library in the old town - one of my best meals ever.

    Permet is a nice small city but with very good and...

    Permet is a nice small city but with very good and hospitable people with a great history. It is called "the city of roses" because of the multi kinds of roses that grows in the city. Its culinary is one of the strongest points. Rafting, hiking, exploring and the termal baths are some of the things you can do there.

    The natural views are crazy in my opinion.

    The natural views are crazy in my opinion. Crazy mountains and rivers, streams everywhere. The people are very nice, I read about other accounts but we experienced nothing but kindness and politeness. Its off the beaten track which we personally like. Its not all tarted up and cheap touristic vibe like you get in so many European countries, that you dont know what is real anymore. The seaside is also now only about 50 min away - we took a road to Sarande that apparently was just completed, so we also experienced a bit of the mediteranean vibe.

    Take a room in the part of town away from center (south side of fortress). For instance at hotel Bebey Traditional and walk to the center across the gallery that connect south part to center. Doing that you can appreciate the staying in a "real" part of the town.

    We really enjoyed our time in Përmet.

    We really enjoyed our time in Përmet. The town was surprisingly clean compared to bigger tourist cities – no piles of garbage and no unpleasant smells, which made it very pleasant to walk around. It’s also much quieter, which we really appreciated. We ate at Bar Restaurant Lulishte, and I can’t recommend it highly enough – the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Getting around Përmet is quite easy since it’s a small town, and the beautiful landscapes make every walk enjoyable. For young couples, it’s a wonderful destination to relax, enjoy nature, and take in the peaceful vibe together.

    Castle was big, but we liked Berat's better.

    Castle was big, but we liked Berat's better. Hills are brutal to climb. Cars going in opposite directions on the same street are often a problem. If you are not on the main streets, gps will tell you to make near impossible turns. Very annoyed that we parked on the street with many other cars and returned to find parking tickets on all of them despite no visible no parking signs.

    I liked Permet a lot!

    I liked Permet a lot! It is a small town, so you see it in a single day but there is a beautiful river passing through it, and it is surrounded by mountains. There is a range of activities to do around Permet like rafting, hiking, canyoning. I stayed 3 days only but I would have enjoyed staying a bit more to do some hiking.
