Lake Bled was wonderful, incredibly beautiful. We swam in the lake, paddle boarded on the lake, and caught the boat out to the island. The city is incredibly charming, with a vibe that feels much more Austrian than Italian. It’s also surrounded by plenty of beautiful hikes (which I wish I’d had time to do!). I only stayed for two days, and while one day is enough to see the city itself, the real highlight is exploring the trails and nature nearby. Free buses to get around, great Asian food just around the corner, probably 100 metres and reasonably priced.
