    Really enjoyed our stay at Kohlerhof, everything about it was perfect. A charming hotel with a very alpine feel, located right by a bus stop to head up to Hochfugen ski area. Food was great, buffet style with a good choice. The spa area was excellent as well, perfect after a day on the slopes. We had one of the deluxe double rooms and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nicely done out, it felt just the right level of luxury. Finally the staff were very friendly and helpful. When I got home to the UK I realised I'd left a jacket in the room, a quick call to the hotel and the jacket was posted back to me. Fantastic customer service! 100% recommended and will definitely stay here again!

    An excellent place to visit. Beautiful scenery. Loads to see and do. Lovely food. Would advise when booking accommodation that you book somewhere that includes the summer card as this gives you free access to all the gondolas in the area and free travel on local buses and trains plus discounted entry to many activities and saves you a lot of money.

    Great base for exploring the several mountain ranges nearby. Great tourist information centre with helpful staff, a useful train station with trains to/from Innsbruck (and even München in Germany), several supermarkets and a good range of restaurants and cafes.

    Stayed at ever grün KAPRUN and the experience was absolutely amazing! Everything was excellent — the staff were super friendly, the food was delicious, and both breakfast and dinner were served as a well-organized buffet. The place was clean with breathtaking views.     The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of alpine character. Mayrhofen is a gem in the heart of the Zillertal Alps — both lively and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. My favorite spot in town was the central square with the iconic ibex statue and the beautiful alpine church, perfect for soaking in the mountain vibe. I enjoyed traditional Tyrolean meals at local guesthouses, and the hut-style restaurants in the surrounding mountains are worth the hike. Breakfast at my hotel was exceptional, and the Zillertal beer is a must-try after a long day outdoors. Getting around is easy — everything in town is walkable, and the Zillertalbahn train makes exploring the valley simple. For solo travelers like me, Mayrhofen is ideal: scenic hiking trails start right from town, there’s an excellent pool & spa complex (Erlebnisbad), and plenty of cafés and beer gardens to meet people or just relax. Whether you’re here for a few days or as a base for adventures like the Berliner Höhenweg, Mayrhofen delivers both comfort and authentic alpine atmosphere.

    We didn't eat out much as accomodation had a very well equipped kitchen. Public transport was punctual and free with a Sommer Card provided by our hosts. All lift passes that we used were free also. The only cost was a booking fee for getting up to the Schladming Galcier. (PREPARE TO QUE FOR THIS ONE). Be aware that shops are closed for religious holidays etc.

    Close to Bregenz and Bodensee (Lake Constance), perfect location to explore the region without moving your car. Our hotel provided Voralberg card during our stay, so buses/trains are free. Wide selection of nice restaurants are in the centre.

    We stopped over for one night on our trip from the Dolomites to Salzburg. I first visited Kitzbuhel in 1970 when I was on a high school trip. I wanted my husband to see what a charming Tyrolean town it is. We really enjoyed ourselves and the hotel was wonderful!
