Edith and Silvia are lovely hosts, very hospitable, making you feel like at home. One get a family feel once you walk through the door. We could leave our bags already in the morning, before the check-in, and could also store them after the check-out, during the day of our departure. We got breakfast when we arrived in the morning even though it wasn't included in our stay, this was super nice! Breakfast is great. The buffet provides a variety of options. Freshly boiled eggs are also served! Best location in Bad Gastein, just opposite the cable car and the train station. Super convenient.

An absolute perfection of a hotel!!! Family run with so much love and pride! No idea where to begin… our room, or more to say: an apartment, was beautifully positioned overlooking the Dorfgastein valley. It was so comfortable in every way. We spent Christmas here and it was magical! The hotel organised a celebration with singing carols and champagne on Christmas Eve. Gifts too! Felt like being part of the family. We met so many people at the party, many of them come visit every year. Spa area was exquisite!!! I can talk about it until tomorrow, it was a dream! Thank you for such an amazing stay, can’t wait to be back♥️

    Hotel might not look luxurious, but it's clean, rooms are big and homelike atmosphere is heartwarming. Value for money ratio is definately the best in the region. We appreciated also opened bar where you can drink what you want and as much as you want and pay only what you think is appropriate and some tip for waiter (- son of the housekeeper). Sauna is also free to use as long as you want. Summarized: If you want vacation photos of expensive hotel to show off on FB go to downtown of Bad Gastein but if you want to enjoy this region, nature, tours and beauty all around, this accommodation is what you want.

    We came here for our anniversary and loved every minute. Our room was on the top floor (5th) and overlooked the beautiful valley. The staff were super efficient and spoke good English. The room itself was spotless, especially the bathroom. The pool was sparkling clean without smelling of chlorine. Simple breakfast that included scrambled eggs, along with fresh bread rolls, jam, cereals, yogurt, cold meats and a selection of cheeses. The waiters also topped up supplies once they were finished. The building has a lot of charm and is well maintained. We will definitely be back in the future!

    Hotel is located very close to ski lift (6-7 minutes by foot or just 2 minutes by local village bus which goes every 15 minutes), they provide rich breakfast with real Italian coffee, sauna and infrared cabin is included in accommodation rate which gives full relaxation after skiing. Modern and stylish design of the rooms and hotel in light colours with bright accents let to feel energised and powerful. Helpful and charming personnel ready to assist with every quest requests. Highly recommended to visit and feel Austrian hospitality.

    Everything about this location is exceptional! Starting with the staff who were extremely nice and helpful with a great spirit and joy, amenities and facilities, gourmet food, the Feuerbar which organized on the Easter week-end an amazing BBQ.     Good location, 10 minute walk to the ski lift, nice place to store ski equipment during the night, parking available on site, nice room and bathroom. There are a few good places eat out in the nearby. Walking the dog in the area is fun way to discover Dorfgastein and please remember to pick up the litter after your pet. There is a coffee machine near the reception and you can pay with card.

    fabulous hotel - eclectic furnishings, unique and a change from generic hotel chains! staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble.     Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

    I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter. The town keeps developing and renovating that can be noticed in every visit.

    Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy...

    Bad Gastein is a totally magical place, if you like rowdy slope side apres and a buzzy town centre, go to St Anton. Bad Gastien's signature are it's spa and the weirdly magical atmosphere the huge number of belle epoch hotels, some refurbed an open, some semi-abandoned, some totally derelict. Super convenient with the train to Munich/Salzburg, come see it before the town becomes cool again.

    We visited the thermal pool, the minimum stay is 4 hours, which is probably little bit too long, but the water was nice and warm, outdoor pool with a mountain view. Shops available. Petrol station available. Skilift right at the center. Very friendly and helpul people (a special thanks to a lady at a petrol station who helped us to find a car mechanic on saturday afternoon to fix our car to be able to drive back home)

    This is our second visit in two years, so we love this beautiful scenic town with hiking trails you can walk to from the centre. The air is so fresh, which was why we came here to escape the oppressive hot summer air of Vienna. If you can rent an apartment with a kitchen, there is also a great (huge!) InterSpar supermarket near the train station - just factor in walking up and down the steep hills!

    It’s nice little town.

    It’s nice little town. If you like skiing and bathing in one of spa areas, then you will enjoy. Not lot of restaurants and good ones are always reserved so you need to prebook if you want to have lunch or dinner. Not a lot to do with children, specially young ones that are not skiing yet.
