Nice big clean room in the older section of the hotel... Very friendly staff, exceptional selection for the dinner and breakfast. Lot of outside sitting areas with the mountain view. Private parking lot... ( been even offered garage parking for my motorcycle ) All together very nice location in the small village.

Probably the best family run rural hotel I've stayed at in Austria. The all-inclusive option really worked out. The quality and variety of food exceeded expectations. Enjoyed local cold beer on the terrace with cows walking by. Liked the church bells ringing early in the morning. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Received many good suggestions for places to visit in the area around the hotel.

    Probably the most conveniently organised and well-planned hotel I have ever stayed in. Starting with the check in and check out by the friendly staff, through the way that the ski-storage and transport to the gondola are organised, the amazing spa, the housekeeping team, the room features - really there is not one thing that was not thought of. In terms of meals: large variety of food was available at the buffet, the options were limitless. Really loved the fresh honey, as well as the possibility to make your own fresh juice mix. Every item was fresh and well prepared. All in all - there is nothing else I could ask for in a hotel for a ski vacation, or just a relaxing vacation in the mountains.

    Everything! The property is amazingly beautiful, stuff caring and friendly and helpful, location is outstanding and spa - is art of work! They thought about all the details and made my stay long lasting memory! ski/snowboarder shoes are warmed up in the storage, food is delicious, shower has its own place in my heart , bed is comfortable, bridge system give you a very unique stroll and they also pick you up and bring you to the lifts . They even notice I am eating vegetarian and proposed me out of menu dishes! I didn’t ask, they noticed! How cool is that?

    The hotel exceeded our expectations, the food was phenomenally delicious,all buffets have a lot of variety, good wine, very good staff and very good service, although it’s a dog hotel it was very very clean ,very nice atmosphere with the dogs around , very nice warm pool , in a quiet location not in the middle of crowds , nice walking paths nearby and 5 minutes away by car from Kaltenbach skii lift

    All is 10/10! The spa, swimming pool, massage, and food are absolutely perfect! There are plenty of shops near the hotel and lots of activities to enjoy. I definitely want to come back here every summer! A special thanks goes to the hotel STAFF – they fulfill every guest’s request with kindness and professionalism.     The perfect Zillertal base — charming, active, and full of alpine character. Mayrhofen is a gem in the heart of the Zillertal Alps — both lively and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. My favorite spot in town was the central square with the iconic ibex statue and the beautiful alpine church, perfect for soaking in the mountain vibe. I enjoyed traditional Tyrolean meals at local guesthouses, and the hut-style restaurants in the surrounding mountains are worth the hike. Breakfast at my hotel was exceptional, and the Zillertal beer is a must-try after a long day outdoors. Getting around is easy — everything in town is walkable, and the Zillertalbahn train makes exploring the valley simple. For solo travelers like me, Mayrhofen is ideal: scenic hiking trails start right from town, there’s an excellent pool & spa complex (Erlebnisbad), and plenty of cafés and beer gardens to meet people or just relax. Whether you’re here for a few days or as a base for adventures like the Berliner Höhenweg, Mayrhofen delivers both comfort and authentic alpine atmosphere.

    Fugen is a great base for the Zillertal Valley.

    Fugen is a great base for the Zillertal Valley. There are good restaurants and bars and it is less noisy than some places. Easy road and rail access to the other resorts. We have stayed in this village several times. We really like not having to queue at bust times to get up the valley. We always leave early to get on the lifts and the roads are quiet then. Highly recommended.

    Ski runs in Tux a bit short, but in general area is big and beautiful, also there are massive Zillertal Arena and Hintertux Glacier ski areas near by. We were traveling by car (there are also ski busses), so visited all nearby skiing locations (you may buy one skipass which will cover all of them). Also I'd recommend great Spa/pool facilities - Erlebnistherme Zillertal

    This skiing area is large enough for a week, except when you are a experienced skier, then it might be too small. It was 14-17 °C all week (march '25 !!!) and there was still enough snow on the slopes, just not in the valley below. Good slopes, not too many for real beginners though. Several kid's fun slopes, and several action parks, slaloms with movie recordings and speed checks. Nice to download the movies afterwards!

    We enjoyed the opportunity to visit different valleys around Finkenberg depending on the weather. Heavy cloud, rain (and snow above 2000m) prevented us going very high, but the forests and river walks were beautiful.

    The house is perfectly located fir skiers as it is at the route of G1 skibus so it ics convenient to get to the rwo cable cars: Moslbahn or Horbergbahn. Hippach is a small but nice village with a couple of stores and pretty buildings. We haven’t explored it too much as our time was dedicated to skiing.

    I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years.

    I've been to Mayrhofen many times over the years. On top of the magnificent views and mountains, I always recommend it particularly on the size of the town. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and hotels in the centre, which give plenty of options if you ever should get a bad weather day. If you are there for a few days, the Active Card is well worth getting. It includes all lifts, train and buses in the valley, so you can get about easily, trying other towns in the valley, without thinking of additional cost.
