The cabn was distant from the other 2 cabns so private, clean and very well designed and obviously small but was very well designed including beds, shower, bench top cooking facilities & aircon. The views out of all the windows was spectacular of the vine yards and vally. The addition of the Barbie allowed us to cook & eat outside with local wine, overlooking the valley till the stars came out which made the evenings there truly delightful.

Very interesting location in original 19 century miners houses. Perfect for realizing how it would have been living there back then. One apartment is left original and can be visited as part of a historical heritage trail in Burra. By adding modern comfort is staying a blessing. No sounds at night, pitch dark. Birds in the morning. And village center less than five minutes away. All together: A very pleasant surprise!

We loved our stay at Bungaree Station it was quite a remarkable place with lots of history and I wish we had stayed longer to soak it all in, the hosts were lovely each one making you feel most welcome, from the extra farm actviities for kids to parents getting some tips and info for things to do further along the holiday road trip it was all round fantastic. Generous portions and variety of options for breakfast was wonderful, we were late arrivals and my husband left his wallet behind and they got it back to us - nothing was too much of a hassle.

Lyreen’s Apartment was bright, spacious and there was a great attention to detail throughout. One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Our lovely host even sought us out after we checked out to give us an item we accidentally left behind. Great service.

We loved riding the Riesling Trail. We had lunch at the Watervale Hotel which was amazing, staff were friendly and helped us choose our menu, making dining experience very memorable. Clare Rise Bakery was exceptional, we loved our stay and will recommend to our friends and family and will be going back again.

An interesting town; we were hoping to do the Historic tour of 9 facilities with key-access but ran out of time. And then we found out that it was going to cost us $30.00 per person, 7 people all going to the same places together, plus a $50.00, obviously returnable, security deposit for the key, so that money went towards dinner at the Burra Hotel. 4 hotels in town, we managed to "try" them all. The ONLY thing lacking in Burra is somewhere that you can easily buy beer, wine & spirits. Yes, you can get these across the bar but a specific outlet would give people a better choice. We were having a beer outside 1 of the hotels, a couple arrived in their 4WD wanting to buy some wine. They went into that hotel & came out empty-handed. We were in the same boat when looking for something specific for someone; it was a "no" across all 4 hotels.

A very short drive to many wineries and to Clare for e.g. supplies. The historical buildings in Mintaro made for a nice stroll. The Magpie and Stump pub was great. The cafe open Friday mornings and weekends was also great.

Great place to stay. Lovely parrots 🦜 outside the cabin. Close to wineries and the Watervale Hotel for a lovely dinner. Quiet and peaceful location you really feel away from the city. Breakfast provided included fresh bread which is lovely and a very homely touch the owners provide. Well done.

There is no village at Penwortham. It's just a few houses along a road between Auburn and Clare. I was surprised by how few people were around over the weekend. It was very quiet on Clare on Saturday afternoon.

Wonderfully private and peaceful location with beautiful outlook over the fields. All the comforts of home are provided and although no wifi, we were able to easily hotspot in order to do a little work whilst there. The home-baked bread and jams were a treat, as was the supply of tea leaves for people who like a nice pot of tea. Very welcoming and homely...a great place to relax and do very little!

There is a lot of history in and around Farrell Flat area you have Burra 10 minutes down the road Mintaro is another historic place to visit. There is a beautiful painting of a train on the silo's at Farrell Flat. I know there are travellers that are going around to places just to see all the painted silo's around their state this is just another place to put on the list to visit.

Obviously we went t the Clare for the wineries and the Breweries. We were not disappointed. All the places we visited were excellent. On a whim we decided to go to th small town of Burra, we wish we had found it sooner. If you do decide to visit Burra, make a day of it, well worth th trip.
