- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 411 reviewsCharmaine and Rob are so welcoming. The breakfasts are amazing and all the little touches were so appreciated. Being able to make coffee anytime or to call down for a kettle to be boiled is great. The room was large, very clean and well supplied and the fan was extremely efficient against the heat and humidity. Charmaine took a lot of time to tell us about all the places to visit or eat in the area. She also recommended some amazing tours. Thank you so muchGuest review byAnneCanada
- From $85.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 585 reviewsSally and Steve, the owners, welcomed us warmly! They made sure we had all the information on the best spots and sites for our few days up in the daintree and the meals - breakfast and dinner - were delicious! Monty, the dog, is a total (chill) sweetheart to make sure you’re extra enjoying the rainforest. Do the night walk with the young guide! We saw so many cool things and learned a lot.Guest review byCailinUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 72 reviewsSuperb luxury property in the rainforest. Very well equipped kitchen and huge coveted and uncovered outside areas. Despite the amount of insects in the area the property itself was spotless and the location was amazing, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest and frequently visited by wildlife. Short drive or walk to cape Trib ‘center’Guest review byAdamAustralia
- From $813.28 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 233 reviewsThe property is absolutely stunning - serene and beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and clean and so unique. The whole area is remote (so a car is helpful) but it’s close enough to all the key things in the region. The food was amazing and everything about this place was just perfection!Guest review byKathleenUnited States

Breakfast in the mornings included a lot of homemade jams and jellies that were delightful. I had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.Guest review byCasieUnited States

Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place.
Cape Tribulation is an amazing, beautiful place. You can walk along the long, beautiful beach with the ocean on one side and tropical rainforest on the other. When you walk back into the rainforest you are on a boardwalk which takes you through huge mangroves then through the tropical rainforest with a stunning variety of rainforest trees and other plants. You see lots of butterflies as well as birds, goannas and fruit bats. It is a place that fills you with awe.Guest review bySylviaAustralia - 10.0
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation.
Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. We did indigenous tour at Mossman gorge which was great. Beautiful tropical trees and fauna. Fresh healthy air. You must do it!Guest review byMichymoo2706Australia - 10.0
Beautiful location, stunning views.
Beautiful location, stunning views. We stayed in large spacious house close to the beach. We took all of our own food as there were excellent kitchen facilities. The beach is stunning. The Daintree area has lots to offer.Guest review byJody - 10.0
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree.
We love Mossman as a quick stay on our way to the Daintree. The Woolies is great to re stock, we had pies from the lovely organic dough pie shop and were excited to be traveling through on a Saturday as Mossman markets are one of our favorites (and we’ve visited a few!)Guest review bykimAustralia - 10.0

I loved how it was close to the beach and very quiet and peaceful. With a little driving most attractions were close by or within half hour. Spending time in the Daintree was spectacular and I found most of the visitors were respectful of the tranquillity. Half an hour to Port Douglas for shopping or spending the day driving up to Cape Tribulation, river cruise, all great adventures.Guest review byKim - 10.0

Diwan is a one of the oldest parts of the Daintree Rainforest. Just beautiful !!! You need to catch the ferry over the river to get to the northern side to access this location. Need to be aware the cost to catch the ferry back and forth. Many things to do and see on the north side of the river to keep amused.Guest review byJustinAustralia - 10.0
A very unique cottage stay.
A very unique cottage stay. Private water-hole Creek for swimming. Crystal clear water. A wonderful place to escape for peace & quiet in a tranquil setting! Amos was a thoughtful and accommodating host! Fruit trees a plenty which, if in abundant and ready for harvest, you may be offered to help yourself to some fruit.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions.
Wonderful area with lots of natural attractions. Highly recommended for nature lovers, hikers and anyone who wants to get away from it all. Getting away from it all includes not a whole lot of phone reception, so take a printed map. Limited groceries available so if you are self catering best to shop beforehand in Cairns or Mossman.Guest review byChristineNew Zealand - 10.0

The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. Well worth a visit to support the local businesses & Heritage Lodge staff were amazing & our evening dinners were 5 star restaurantGuest review byDebraAustralia - 10.0
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape...
Mossman is actually closer to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation than Port Douglas, but Port is a very short drive away to be able get to reef cruises and activities there. Mossman is the old town, still with elements of 'country', check out the Exchange Hotel (there is a Woolworths on the edge of town - I wish they'd hide it behind large trees) and a regular market every Saturday (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) in the historic church grounds. It is not overwhelmed by tourism, but the surrounding areas have B&B and accommodation options. Mossman Gorge is an amazing upland rainforest experience. You get one of the mini-busses from the Visitor Info Centre (every 15 mins until 5.30 pm) This takes you to the walking trail. The first part is boardwalk, then an easy bush trail in a circuit. The forest is spectacular, very relaxing to see & hear the water of the Mossman River. Sit on the seating or a rock near the trail and wonder at the profusion of life that fills every space. TIP: Take a towel & wear swimmers, as there is a rock pool about 2/3 of or the way along the bush trail with clear fresh water, safe to wade & cool off in.Guest review byBruceAustralia
