- From US$407.89 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 15 reviewsThis house is stunning. Superb. Very well stocked kitchen supplies, great bathrooms, excellent beds, wonderful views... Everything was so tastefully decorated and well thought through. All the appliances worked perfectly and the fireplace was a treat. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. So many windows in the house but very well placed giving you the feeling of privacy whilst enjoying incredible views. The small garden with a fruit orchard was pretty and the host welcomed us to take what we want from the veggies growing. Fabulous showers and toiletries. Information on how to use appliances/laundry/fire place etc was clear and accessible, and not overwhelming. Obviously very generous, kind and trusting people own this house. Would have loved to stay there, or live there even better! (The neighbour let us feed his chickens with our food scraps!)Guest review byPaulSpain

Kingston Hotel had extremely large rooms and was on the opposite block to Coles supermarket and other shops. The rooms were separate from the hotel which enabled a very quiet sleep. Shiploads and Chemist etc were just outside the door approx 50m an easy walk. Didn't get a chance to see anything else.Guest review byChristopherAustralia - 8.0
An interesting area with things to see.
An interesting area with things to see. The Hastings caves were wonderful and the Tahune Adventures Airwalk is great too. It's a bit hard to find a coffee and something to eat at times, if you don't plan ahead.Guest review byWakeyAustralia - 10.0

Dover is a wonderful place, fairly small, and it is easy to get around if you have your own transport. It has an RSL Club and a very well stocked IGA. There are also a couple of cafes. The town is close to a number of Tourist Attractions such as the Hastings Caves and the Huon Valley. It is a great part of the world!!!Guest review byWebber - 10.0
Loved that we stayed here.
Loved that we stayed here. I orginally wanted to stay in the Tower suite but it was booked for the dates i wanted to stay. So i booked a suite anyway. On our second day (we visited Bruny Island) i received a phone call from Villa Howden asking if we wanted to have an upgrade to the Tower suite as it was my birthday. So they moved all of our things into this beautiful suite. It was so thoughtful. Villa Howden is easily accessible if you have a car and getting to and from everywhere is easy. The Villa itself is just lovely considering its age. It does require some work. We had dinner one night there and breakfast everyday. Room was very clean and so were bathrooms. Like that it has a seperate toilet to the bathroom. Fridge is stocked of snacks and drinks which I think is excellent. Nothing was an issue for the staff at Villa Howden. We plan on coming back again in the future.Guest review byAmieAustralia - 10.0
The views were spectacular.
The views were spectacular. The water was clear and the beaches were clean. Lots of available car parking. There was a great restaurant down the road (5 minutes walk) called the “Beach House” where we ate breakfast and dinner. Coffee, food and service was awesomeGuest review byRobAustralia - 10.0
We just loved the entire vibe and ambience of the space.
We just loved the entire vibe and ambience of the space. The location and set up allowed my partner and me to completing relax and decompress from some long days of driving and the busy city of Hobart. We did not have to leave the place for food as there was some complimentary food provided and we brought groceries ourselves, and thanks to the hyper efficient portable electric stovetop we were able to cook any food we needed with ease and efficiency.Guest review byBrettCanada - 10.0

It’s located in a very nice area of Tasmania and reasonably close to Hobart.(less than 40 kilometres) Surrounded by mountains and orchards on the Huon river. We made the easy drive down as far as Dover and also enjoyed the Tahune tree top air walk.Guest review byDoug.Australia - 10.0

Kettering is the gateway/ferry to Bruny Island (which we toured around for a day). The little township has a hotel. We ate there and at Peppermint Cove in Woodbridge on the waters edge. We also ate at Phoenix Restaurant in Snug. All served quality food. We took a drive to Huonville and Cygnet and did some wine and cider tasting. Our accommodation at Oyster Cove Chalet was quiet and very comfortable. Within an hour and half drive to Tahune Air Walk or Hasting Caves and Spa - although we didn't have time for them (Next time!)Guest review byCarolAustralia - 10.0

I didn’t spend a time in Cygnet as I was visiting a friend, but driving through I observed some lovely shops, a twice monthly Sunday market was well patronised, and I visited Ian Clare’s pottery studio across the road from the beautiful bay. I plan to return, so I’m looking forward to checking out the other shops and local sights.Guest review byKatharineAustralia - 8.0
Franklin is a great base to explore along the Huon River.
Franklin is a great base to explore along the Huon River. There are many great surprises to be found when taking a casual drive and so many wonderful places to eat! So many little parks that are also great for picnics. Great fresh fruit can be purchased at any number of roadside stops. Very picturesque!Guest review byKarenAustralia
