The cabin itself was fitted out to a high quality with comfy bed, really nice bathroom and well fitted kitchen. The sauna room was amazing with full windows allowing you to watch the nature whilst outside Bath was the ultimate finish to the day

The views from the room are just spectacular - seeing the sunrise and moonrise over the bay is just breathtaking. Super quiet area with koalas and kangaroos on/around the property! Apartment was incredibly clean with everything you would need provided. It's a 15 minute drive to Kingscote and given collision risk to wildlife at night, we took takeaway dinners on our way back before dusk every evening and ate on the little front patio watching the moon rise over the bay - incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Easy to access any part of the island from here including the national park. Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay - would highly recommend! The house has an incredible view of the bay. It’s located in a nice neighborhood with tons of wildlife. We saw at least five koalas swaying in the trees nearby. And one night we saw a ton of kangaroos. Echidnas and gorgeous birds can be seen too. The property has a nice and easy bbq to use. And we were able to do a load of laundry and air dried our clothes. I even took a picture of the clothes drying on the line with the bay in the background because it was such a beautiful setting. There’s a dryer too in case line drying isn’t realistic. The Accommodation is a three bedroom house located in Kingscote. Spacious, cozy, comfortable and clean. The town had everything we needed for the trip, including a couple of fabulous op shops/book shops. We found the short way into town from the property and explored the coast in both directions, in addition to our longer day trips to different parts of the island. We divided the island into chunks - it only takes an hour to get to the other end - and did north coast one day, south coast another, Penneshaw and surrounds another, and Flinders Chase (twice), plus one day to look around Kingscote itself. The supermarket is great; the takeaway restaurant fine, we didn't do fine dining but it's there if you want it.Guest review byChristineAustralia - 10.0

Millpond’s location in a quiet street in Penneshaw just minutes from the ferry terminal was our pick. It met our requirements for a quiet holiday by the sea. The hosts - always responsive - evidently took pains to anticipate the needs of guests - we didn’t lack for anything, from the very well-equipped kitchen to comfortable living, dining rooms and bedrooms. All the local sites are amazing. My favourite was Cape de Couedic and Admirals Arch. The development and natural scenery and spectacular, seascape views are outstanding and most of it is accessible for wheelchairs with quality board walking. I Highly recommend a visit to Kangaroo Island. An amazing and challenging level 3 hike to Snake Lagoon is well worth the effort to the Beach. It's a lovely beach! Post card quality all the way. Only shame is people are allowed to drive on it, risking the precious wildlife and environment. We stayed 3 nights, after staying our first night in Kingscote after a late ferry trip from the mainland. . The cabin is situated adjacent to the farmhouse driveway, the cabin's gate was closed, so when we arrived we drove to the farmhouse but nobody welcomed us so I had to call the owner for instructions. The cabin appears to be almost new so the facilities are excellent. We dined once at the Parndarna Hotel and had a good pub meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the wild life around us , feeding the kangaroos nightly .. very peaceful and relaxing .. however we feel there should’ve been tea/coffee sugar sachets and long life milk on arrival as there aren’t any shops close by .. so after long trip over really looking forward to a coffee .. also washing up liquid was only enough for 1 day .. toilet paper only 2 rolls ( not enough for our 7 day stay ) Went to cook on the bbq , no tongs or scraper . However we did ring owner and he was more then happy to bring us tongs ( but that’s not the point ) all these things are basics in a budget accommodation . stayed in plenty others .. and the bed was very hard but that is too be expected in most cases .
