- From US$160.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 530 reviewsExcellent location by the river, with easy access to Bluewater Quay walk, Fogan bridge and the restaurants and cafes along Wood St. Only 2 mins walkto Caneland shopping centre. We had a comfortable 2brm apartment with a large king bed in one room and Queen in the other. Two bathrooms made it easy with the family. Best of all with the enormous balcony we had. it was bigger than the whole apartment! Other than that the staff were friendly and helpful.Guest review bySuzanneSweden

All staff were fantastic & couldn't of done any more for me. Meal was lovely and was handy having the laundry facility there. Mackay wasn't on my intinary to stop but the staff made this an enjoyable stay, and took away from the stress of not being able to reach my original destination of Airlie Beach due to road closures and weather conditions.Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom

Rooms were way bigger than I expected and extremely clean, beds super comfy and nice touch with the complimentary continental breakfast. Loved the outlook from my little balcony. Nice and close to town and super handy having the pub and bistro next door where I had the best crispy altlantic salmon I've had in a long time. I attended a cricket game at Harrup Park, which I had never been to before. Google maps made it easy to find and the facilities are amazing. One afternoon, I walked the Mackay Bluewater Trail. It was interesting and I felt safe on the trail.Guest review byKENAustralia - 8.0

Sarina is a busy town with a big sugar mill, the highway passes through the main street, so it's good to locate accommodation off the highway if possible. Supermarket & good shopping in town. Beaches are nearby & quite pleasant.Guest review byYoungy19Australia - 10.0
Perfect tranquil location with a quiet beach.
Perfect tranquil location with a quiet beach. Just a 10 minutes drive away from the sunrise wallaby experience if you’re planning to visit this. Don’t miss the battered Fish and chips from the Pit Stop Cafe! It’s scrumptious and I ate mine on the beach with not a single soul in sight.Guest review byMartienUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Eungella is a very special place and it needs to be protected from development and any Hydro scheme. Places like this are sacred and the wildlife is unique, it cannot be spoiled. I wish I could live there.Guest review byMonAustralia - 10.0

Carmila was a stop over on our way north, in the morning we visited the nearby beach, beautiful! Campers and fishers would get much more from the experience than we did. The pub was good. The servo was good. The beach was excellent.Guest review byDanielAustralia - 8.0

The Motel is located in a country setting and provides a relaxing atmosphere. There is a Service Station across the road that does provide food but a little travel is required for good food and alcohol.Guest review byGaryAustralia - 10.0

Mackay Harbour and foreshore are a must visit, beautifully landscapped with quality building, shops, and fish & chips. 2. Mackay Botanic Gardens are a must visit, and are superior to most gardens. Lovely paths and signposted plants, all overlooking a pretty lagoon. Cafe has splended views. 3. at $0.50c per trip, explore Mackay by riding the Bus network to get an overview of this boom townGuest review bypeterAustralia - 10.0
Our stay was absolutely great.
Our stay was absolutely great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. And the ocean view from our balcony was stunning 😍 The food at the restaurant was really good, homemade style. The ladies at the reception and the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay there again and will recommend it anyone 😊Guest review byYaroslavaAustralia - 10.0
Seaforth is quiet but friendly.
Seaforth is quiet but friendly. Apparently a great fishing and crabbing spot. There is a Bowling Club with an excellent restaurant and a service station/local shop that covers most needs. A Post Office and shop that sells all sorts of interesting stuff and lots more. There’s a cafe on the road in that sells delicious food, particularly scones with jam and cream that are amazing. All in all Seaforth is definitely worth a visit.Guest review byYvonneAustralia
