It's an amazing city with the history, including old buildings. Definitely visit The Rocks. Lots of museums, Sydney Eye Tower, Sea Life, Wild World & the Wax Works, Chinatown - & the list goes on. The harbour is beautiful & ferry rides are great. Watch out for the sea gulls at the beaches, especially if you are trying to eat fish & chips!! They are vicious!!! Public transport is quick & easy. However, I wouldn't like to live there - too many people, too many steep walking footpaths from Circular Quay & anywhere else in the city, many high high-rise buildings, but it's still a wonderful city to visit. Take a train to the Blue Mountains - or drive there. Such magnificent country!!Guest review byKandMAustralia - 10.0

What pleasure to sit/walk and observe the Hunter River from the Newcastle foreshore. Delightful beaches are in easy access. So too Newcastle inner-city area. Stockton (on the northside of the river is worth an excursion and reminder to "old" Newcastle. Excellent train service to Maitland and bus services to other near locations.Guest review byBillAustralia - 10.0
Lovely holiday.
Lovely holiday. We really enjoyed The Big Banana, Coffs Coast Wildlife Santuary, the beaches and walks on the jetty and the island. We even saw wales from the top of the island. Our children are 10 and 12.Guest review byVictoriaAustralia - 10.0
Low-key vibe to the area and town.
Low-key vibe to the area and town. Not at all built up, considering it is a popular destination. Loads of great restaurants, accommodation and shops to choose from. Recommend using Byron Bay kayaks for watching the whales and dolphins, a highlight of my trip! Went to Bang Bang restaurant (Asian sharing - good food but noisy) and the Treehouse (great food). We had a car and managed to visit neighbouring towns and beaches, which were also low-key with original buildings, so quaint.Guest review byDebbieNew Zealand - 8.0
I liked being able to Whale watch from Shelly Beach.
I liked being able to Whale watch from Shelly Beach. We saw three pods of whales with 9 whales in total. Admittedly, although we could see them from the beach, we needed binoculars to get a better look. Make sure you visit Sea Acres Rainforest Boardwalk, and take your time to listen and soak up the amazing atmosphere.Guest review bySteveAustralia - 8.0
Nice wide streets; beautiful old buildings; lovely river!!
Nice wide streets; beautiful old buildings; lovely river!! Glass Art Gallery great, and so were the Historic Council Chambers. We strolled through the Botanic Gardens and were surprised by the Zoo there! Disappointed that the museum of the Riverina was closed (on Mondays). We ate in the Romano Hotel, which was very nice.Guest review byVirginieAustralia - 8.0
Country location with a city feel.
Country location with a city feel. Great cafes and restaurants in both Albury and Wodonga. High end shopping centre. Short drive to wineries and and tourist towns like Beechworth, Bright and Yarrawonga. When ever I am in Albury I always stock up on great produce at Harris’s Farm Markets. Take a stroll through the Botanic Gardens.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 10.0
