- From US$263.26 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 3,348 reviewsI had booked RACV Royal Pines Resort for my daughter‘s 21st Birthday. And they made her Birthday super special. Everything was Perfect 10!!!!! There is a Japanese restaurant which is called Arakawa inside this property. The restaurant was also super good and after dinner they brought a birthday wish truffle chocolates with the candle and sung a birthday song for her. The night was Just spectacular. Also the morning buffet was incredibly fun to have. So many kinds of good foods, fruits and desserts are available. We recommend super strong to stay RACV Royal Pines Resort taking dinner at Arakawa restaurant and having breakfast at buffet!!!! Thank you for making our stay memorable. Much appreciate it.Guest review bySHIHOJapan
- From US$160.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 827 reviewsYou cannot beat the location in a pristine Gondwana rainforest. It is all right there. Just exit the reception, cross the access road and you are into the forest. The trails are well maintained, and the wildlife, vegetation, and scenery stunning. Amazingly, the restaurant is great too, and it is well set up for breakfast, all in a dining room with windows on the plants, and animals that visit there. I do not know about all the rooms, but ours was simply stunning with picture window views on each side, one to the next mountain range and the other into the forest.Guest review byPeterTaiwan

Being in our 70/80s the original cabin next to the children play area was a little noisy - to say the least. Molly moved us to. rainforest cabin which was a delight and very quiet.Guest review byJudithUnited Kingdom

Surfers Paradise has changed a lot since I was there 20 years ago. There is a better variety of cuisine and things to do. The light rail is absolutely fantastic and makes getting around so easy. Once the next stage is finished in 2026, it will make getting around the Gold Coast amazingly simple, you wont need a car when you are there. I had a great time, the shopping at Pacific Fair rivaled Melbourne (can you believe it!!?), the beaches were gorgeous and the food offerings were varied and delicious.Guest review byFionaAustralia - 6.0
There really isn’t much to see in downtown Cairns.
There really isn’t much to see in downtown Cairns. To enjoy it, you have to go out to the islands, but this always requires paying a high price, and there aren’t many options in terms of timing. I would instead recommend staying briefly at a resort on one of the islands and then returning. Kuranda and the other rainforests were more developed as tourist attractions than I expected. Everywhere you go, you have to pay an entrance fee, and the shops all felt the same without any unique character.Guest review bychoiAustralia - 8.0

i use to live there for a long time. it is what it is as a town like most. i only come up every few years to see my crew or reunion etc. it's more a blue collar city then say Cairns which is tourism. it's pretty easy to Network in and get contacts for work. most visit for the Cowboy games and concerts from what i could see. a trip to Magnetic Island is definitely worth it. walking up Castle Hill and the Strand is what i miss. i personally don't go anywhere near the place from Oct till March as the humidity/heat will drain you soul. There is no surf as the Great barrier reef starts about Rockhampton but as Mentioned , Magnetic Island is worth it. it's not a tourist resort trap like say Airlie beach. People live over there and commute to work as it;s 20 min by ferry. Also, like all of North Queensland, you can't swim in the ocean then as it has Stingers. (don't muck about with it ether as they will kill you.) It is a garrison city and rightfully proud of it with the biggest Army base and RAAF. so yes, the ratio of men to women is alot. Flinders St is where all the clubs are if that's your thing. And the Casino or "the Ville" is pretty relaxed with awesome views of the bay. like most places it has it's problems with youth crime but if your just being a tourist, you won't see or hear about it. it's pretty safe place to just get out and about.Guest review byTheDudeAbides70Australia - 10.0

Stunning weather, stunning views, friendly staff everywhere we went, Except for the bar on the right at the roundabout as you drop down into the main shopping area. (bar staff were rude) Went on a Red Cat Adventure snorkling & visit to an Island with the most stunning beach I have ever seen. Pristine sand and clear blue water. Skipper Mark & Deck crew Jade & Kobi were fantastic we highly recommend them.Guest review byLorenNew Zealand - 8.0

We travel to Toowoomba each year for the annual Carnival of Flowers. Our hotel was easy walking distance to the gardens. Always a lovely experience to see the flowers in bloom, and our visits include Queen's Park, the Markets nearby and also Laurel Bank Park is a must for the tulips. We enjoyed lunch at Gips Restaurant, and a visit to the Historical Pioneer Park at Highfields The Miniature Train display is also a great visit for train lovers- at the ShowgroundsGuest review byVeronique - Gold CoastAustralia - 10.0
