The facilities in Rockhampton were very surprising!
The facilities in Rockhampton were very surprising! The zoo was amazing (and surprisingly free), there are lots of great parks and playgrounds for kids, and also plenty of great shops and dining options.Guest review byKerri - 10.0

Gladstone has so many beautiful parks walks and water fronts to spend your time in. A large variety of restaurants and plenty of shops and things to do. The nightlife also doesn’t disappoint, there are quite a few venues to choose from to go for a dance, an evening meal or to sit for a few drinks with live music. The locals were all very polite and friendly and helpful, it’s a very family friendly city and we think has a lot to offer.Guest review bysabrinaAustralia - 8.0

It’d be great if there was a better way to get there by motor vehicle, than having to battle your way on that Freeway from Brisbane, I was stuck on it 3 times in this last week firstly going into & out of Brisbane on family business, then on departure from Bundy to drive home to Newcastle in NSW I believe it added up to two hours to each trip I made on it, where are all these motor vehicles travelling to? for someone like myself that regularly uses the Freeway from Newcastle to Sydney plus associated Toll roads in and around Sydney that’s saying something, don’t get me wrong your roads are great but wooohee that slowly moving traffic, it’s a shocker.Guest review byPhilAustralia - 10.0

I love Yeppoon! It's relaxed and chilled with the right amount of restaurants, shopping and atmosphere. It's easy to drive/walk around the town, with all the local beaches great for swimming and strolling.Guest review byClaireTAustralia - 10.0

Beautiful spot and wonderful beaches, surf side and the estuary. Good costal walks both sides. Not a lot of shopping, but a good variety of outlets with good food. Well stocked supermarkets. Must checkout the Gelato shop and Rusty Pelican (fish N chips) 1770Guest review byRJAustralia - 8.0
Bargara was quite but also had everything you needed, cafe's...
Bargara was quite but also had everything you needed, cafe's, resataurants, supermarkets, butcher, bakeries etc. Some of the businesses were charging like a bull at a gate, the Bargara Beach Hotel charged us $5.30 for a soda water, So wouldn't go there again. Check ahead to see if places are open on a Sunday or Monday as a lot were closed. Going to Berry Berry Bundaberg was a rip off. To pick your own strawberries they charged you $10, family of four, to enter paddock and then $16 a kilo for the ones you picked, so first kilo was $26. Great walks olong the explanade, very beautiful coastline. Got to see a pod of whales about 100mts off shore at Mon Repos. Definately go back to Mon Repos to see the turtles laying their eggs, booked it for January 2026.Guest review byGlennAustralia - 8.0
