We ordered the lunch hamper for Christmas day and it was a bargain for $99 filled with prawns, smoked salmon, salads, loaf of baked bread and heaps more. Our room was clean and comfortable and serviced daily, we had resident wallabies and bungarras walking around and through the grounds. I loved that the bungalows were a good distance apart too. Perth is such a lovely city to explore at your own pace — no tour guide needed! You can take your time discovering hidden gems and soaking in the calm atmosphere. Once you pass the serious-looking male immigration counter (don’t worry, he’s just doing his job!), you’ll find the locals are warm and super helpful. One of the most impressive moments was meeting an African staff member at the Perth station who spoke excellent Mandarin — if he could sing a bit of a Chinese song, that would have been perfect! If you’re ever unsure about something, just ask politely — people are happy to help. My stay at Spinners Hostel was excellent too — the staff were so helpful, loving, and friendly that it felt like a home away from home.Guest review byHuey MiinMalaysia - 10.0

Wonderful place to stay, relax, try wonderful restaurants and local venues. We stay in Freo to indulge at wonderful restaurants and we are never disappointed. For local places to go to, try something different, try Darling Darling, a cute little bar on Henry St, or the roof top bar (try the delicious tapas lunch options) at the National Hotel on High St. Awesome.Guest review byrobert - 10.0

The town itself isn't that interesting though it's very pleasant, and has some fantastic local scenery. The places you can go to are amazing. We were unfortunate with the weather, so though we had booked a week, we were limited in what we could do so far as visiting the national parks we were interested in. Such a great city with the surrounding countryside a sightseer's delight. Highly recommend that travellers use the Indian Ocean Drive route and a visit to Northampton and the Chapman Valley. Be prepared to do more driving after your long drive up from Perth, it is worth it. The views are stunning and walk past natures window provides stunning views. The beach is great for dipping your feet and swimming. Great fishing spots all around for fishos of all levels of experience. IGA covers food needs and multiple restaurants. Mandurah is a great town. Walks along the river, restaurants, cafe's, theatres, theme parks, local businesses. A different world from the north. Paparazzi is my favourite restaurant, and the French Cafe' Cafe' Rene' is great.Guest review byBromilow
