- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 370 reviewsThe stuff was amazing. Since the momenr we landed at the airport until we left, we felt like kings. The facility is clean, the view is unbelivieable. The location is just on the beach. The food and cocktails were fantastic, especially the break fast. We wanted to book some activities, and all we needed to do, is go to the reception and did everything for us. They also provide a complementary trasfer service all around the island.Guest review byOMRIIsrael
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 917 reviewsI absolutely adored my stay at the private resort, particularly relishing the villa nestled next to the beach. The restaurant offered a delightful variety of cuisine, and I cherished the freedom to kayak, snorkel, and paddle at my leisure. Moreover, I was impressed by the care taken by the staff, ensuring my safety by tracking my whereabouts when exploring the hiking trails on both sides of the property.Guest review byRAMONASlovenia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 577 reviewsWe loved our stay at this resort, it was great value and one of our favourite places we’ve stayed so far in Australia! We had our own little cabin which felt like a little home, and it was lovely and quiet, really kind gesture of free TimTams in our fridge too, there was lots for families to do but it was amazing for us as a couple too. we’re now looking at other BIG4s to stay in!Guest review byJasmineGuernsey
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 336 reviewsGreat location. On site manager and receptionist were very accommodating to our needs and extra helpful suggestions. Close proximity to eating places and a Woolworth and shops about 5mins drive. Sea swimming accessable and the resort pool also available. Beautiful scenery from our apartment. Clothes washing and drying facilities. Everything that I wanted and needed.Guest review byBettyNew Zealand

Stunning weather, stunning views, friendly staff everywhere we went, Except for the bar on the right at the roundabout as you drop down into the main shopping area. (bar staff were rude) Went on a Red Cat Adventure snorkling & visit to an Island with the most stunning beach I have ever seen. Pristine sand and clear blue water. Skipper Mark & Deck crew Jade & Kobi were fantastic we highly recommend them.Guest review byLorenNew Zealand - 10.0

Hamilton Island is a family resort, and you instantly relax getting off the plane. Transport is a golf cart which is fun in itself. Loads of pools to cover no water at the beach on low tide. Great selection of restaurants but book early. Lots of excursions off the island which are pricey. Scenery is unique and stunning. cockatoos are friendly and wallabies all over the place are cute. Love it here, second trip this year and I will be back. It is great for 3-4 day break, very accessible from sydney on direct 2 hour flight. Love it hereGuest review byKerriAustralia - 10.0

Loved our new accommodation located in Rose Bay and the people and visitors there. Saw whales off shore. Businesses not far away for essentials and takeaway food. The view from the lookout on Flagstaff Hill is amazing and gives a full 360 degree view of Bowen and the surrounding area. It's so easy to navigate Bowen but Google maps makes it so much easier.Guest review byGayeAustralia - 8.0
Small island with limited numbers allowed.
Small island with limited numbers allowed. Good for relaxing few days. Family friendly. Weather was perfect. Restaurant food to a high standard. Buffet dinner not good. Gym needs aircon. Southern end of island not renovated after cyclone. In saying that the other pool areas seemed sufficient.Guest review byMichelleAustralia - 8.0
There are two resorts in the island.
There are two resorts in the island. Palm Bay is the lesser expensive one, Elysian the more up market. Getting there is very easy from Schute Harbour, only 30 minutes. There are a few good hikes on the island.Guest review byMargaret - 8.0

Prossie is a great little town if you’re looking for somewhere away from the busyness of Airlie Beach. The aquatic centre and water park is free and a great way to cool off. An excellent fish n chips takeaway (Fishi’s) on the main road. Two supermarkets and walking along the Main Street you’ll see artwork on the footpath synonymous with the area. Plenty of pubs to wet your whistle but I can’t comment on other food outlets. I’m still discovering the attractions around here.Guest review byDebbieAustralia - 8.0

It was useful to have a Coles store near by, ie within walking distance. The Woolworths precinct was about 3 kms away. too far, for me to carry shopping. There were the usual MacDonalds & KFC nearby. I was happy to attend the Baptist church which shared the premises with other Christian denominations. The bus service to and from Proserpine was punctual and the drivers were prepared to drive passengers to their destinations. I found the local people very friendly & happy to chat as I passed them on my walks.Guest review byTanya CanningtonAustralia - 6.0
The resort is in a stunning location with great facilities.
The resort is in a stunning location with great facilities. Unfortunately the resort was constantly short staffed during our 4 night stay which led to long wait times and waiting around for restaurant and pool services to open. The restaurants are also dealing with shortages of menu items at all restaurants which is a little frustrating as there are already limited options. Staff are lovely but also seem to have limited experience in hospitality unless dealing with the Fijian staff, who were exceptional! Expected a higher level of service for the reputation of the resort.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0

Shute Harbour is quiet, beautiful and has a terminal for trips to the islands and the reefs. It offers no shops or restaurants but by car either your own or ridesharing, or reasonable bus service, one can get to such facilities with little trouble - only 10 km to Airlie Beach, which is of course much noisier and more of a party place.Guest review byAlanSouth Africa - 8.0

It's a nice friendly little town close to Marinas that service Yachts in the Whitsunday Islands. There's a lovely village and resort feel to the shops with the best fish and chip shop on the planet. For a little town, it had plenty of Ubers, and easy to book shuttles that go to and from Prosepine Airport We stayed in Airlie one night before boarding a boat we'd hired at Coral Bay Marina. We breakfasted well, strolled around, and had fabulous cocktails on the beach front, before getting all our provisions at the major Woolworths and BWS there, and Uber-ing to the MarinaGuest review byLeitaAustralia
