- From $286.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,139 reviewsWhile not as bougie as the Hayman Island Resort, there is a lot to do at this resort. There are 2 restaurants on the island and the food options include an asian restaurant and a burger and pizza type of place. But vegetarian options available too and a small gift shop in the main lobby. But the key thing is the amazing activities to do on the resort (swimming with stingrays, live reef, sunset beach area behind with a rainforest pathway too to hike, sailing lessons that can be done from the island and scubadiving from island. The island has two sides, one for day trip and one for people staying. Big pools to swim in plus beach side. Great views. Easy to access port to go to reef or white haven tours as well as snorkeling tours or back to mainland to airlie beach or hamilton island. Walaroos are cute as anything on the island and you can feed them apples and bread and rice etc. like they are your pet dog. The cockatoos too. There was also paint and sip and other activities as well. Very family friendly. There is an underwater observatory room(an aquarium of sorts) and morning yoga in that room. there is also a kids section and other such aquariums throughout. It is beautiful paradiseGuest review byEktaUnited States

We arrived after hours and had an email describing how to access our apartment. Place was modern, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, awesome views from balcony and pools. Short walk to supermarket, beer store and main street, as well as ports to islands and reef. IdealGuest review bystephanieCanada

Stunning weather, stunning views, friendly staff everywhere we went, Except for the bar on the right at the roundabout as you drop down into the main shopping area. (bar staff were rude) Went on a Red Cat Adventure snorkling & visit to an Island with the most stunning beach I have ever seen. Pristine sand and clear blue water. Skipper Mark & Deck crew Jade & Kobi were fantastic we highly recommend them.Guest review byLorenNew Zealand - 10.0

Hamilton Island is a family resort, and you instantly relax getting off the plane. Transport is a golf cart which is fun in itself. Loads of pools to cover no water at the beach on low tide. Great selection of restaurants but book early. Lots of excursions off the island which are pricey. Scenery is unique and stunning. cockatoos are friendly and wallabies all over the place are cute. Love it here, second trip this year and I will be back. It is great for 3-4 day break, very accessible from sydney on direct 2 hour flight. Love it hereGuest review byKerriAustralia - 10.0

Loved our new accommodation located in Rose Bay and the people and visitors there. Saw whales off shore. Businesses not far away for essentials and takeaway food. The view from the lookout on Flagstaff Hill is amazing and gives a full 360 degree view of Bowen and the surrounding area. It's so easy to navigate Bowen but Google maps makes it so much easier.Guest review byGayeAustralia - 8.0
Small island with limited numbers allowed.
Small island with limited numbers allowed. Good for relaxing few days. Family friendly. Weather was perfect. Restaurant food to a high standard. Buffet dinner not good. Gym needs aircon. Southern end of island not renovated after cyclone. In saying that the other pool areas seemed sufficient.Guest review byMichelleAustralia - 8.0
Prossie is a great little town if you’re looking for...
Prossie is a great little town if you’re looking for somewhere away from the busyness of Airlie Beach. The aquatic centre and water park is free and a great way to cool off. An excellent fish n chips takeaway (Fishi’s) on the main road. Two supermarkets and walking along the Main Street you’ll see artwork on the footpath synonymous with the area. Plenty of pubs to wet your whistle but I can’t comment on other food outlets. I’m still discovering the attractions around here.Guest review byDebbieAustralia - 10.0
Lovely place to just stop and relax, with smaller numbers...
Lovely place to just stop and relax, with smaller numbers than most resorts, no children and no motorized water sports, but it does need some TLC if it wants to keep its 4* rating. Getting there should be discounted if you are staying there vs visiting for the day. The day trippers tended to take over a bit so I think they should charge more for this. The restaurant serves lovely fresh food and the staff are very friendly and helpful, if somewhat transient. Was disappointed no spa service was on offer while we were there due to staffing issues.Guest review byladyjayneAustralia - 8.0

It was useful to have a Coles store near by, ie within walking distance. The Woolworths precinct was about 3 kms away. too far, for me to carry shopping. There were the usual MacDonalds & KFC nearby. I was happy to attend the Baptist church which shared the premises with other Christian denominations. The bus service to and from Proserpine was punctual and the drivers were prepared to drive passengers to their destinations. I found the local people very friendly & happy to chat as I passed them on my walks.Guest review byTanya CanningtonAustralia - 6.0
The resort is in a stunning location with great facilities.
The resort is in a stunning location with great facilities. Unfortunately the resort was constantly short staffed during our 4 night stay which led to long wait times and waiting around for restaurant and pool services to open. The restaurants are also dealing with shortages of menu items at all restaurants which is a little frustrating as there are already limited options. Staff are lovely but also seem to have limited experience in hospitality unless dealing with the Fijian staff, who were exceptional! Expected a higher level of service for the reputation of the resort.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0

Shute Harbour is quiet, beautiful and has a terminal for trips to the islands and the reefs. It offers no shops or restaurants but by car either your own or ridesharing, or reasonable bus service, one can get to such facilities with little trouble - only 10 km to Airlie Beach, which is of course much noisier and more of a party place.Guest review byAlanSouth Africa - 10.0

This is a great little town with a real tropical holiday feel; there's a fantastic main shopping are that has everything from breakfast to nightclubs; plenty of Ubers; close to everything. We arrived in Airlie Beach to board the yacht Miss Devereaux - the Whitsunday Islands were wonderful but the boat left a lot to be desired; I wouldn't recommend this boat to anyone. But the Whitsundays is probably the most beautiful place on Earth.Guest review byLeitaAustralia
