- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 254 reviewsMy overnight stay at Au Nom De Dieu exceeded all expectations. The comfortable room and delightful breakfast area were highlights of my visit. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional hospitality. On Easter Monday, I urgently needed transportation to the nearest train station to catch my flight. Unfortunately, due to the holiday, finding a taxi seemed impossible. In my moment of worry, the owner of the hotel stepped in and offered assistance that not only saved the day but also prevented a significant inconvenience for me. Their kindness was truly remarkable and made my stay unforgettable.Guest review byEdionAlbania
- From US$141.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 598 reviewsStayed for a short weekend and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature and close to some great walking and cycling routes. The view from the garden alone is worth the visit. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a bit of vintage charm. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If you're looking to recharge and relax in a scenic spot, this is a great choice. Would definitely come back, maybe next time with bikes.Guest review byStefanyBelgium
- From US$131.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.6Good - What previous guests thought, 2,359 reviewsI booked for twin beds but when we arrived it was 2 single beds put together as a double bed. But the staff kindly split it into 2 single beds. The hotel is about 10-15 min walk from the train station. And the receptionist is really nice and offered us champagne when we arrived. There is a beautiful lake behind the hotel.Guest review by亦辰China

The location was peaceful and the accommodation very comfortable. We enjoyed walking through the woods in the evening to a lovely restaurant overlooking the lake. It was an easy drive into Maastrict and also the pretty village of Oud Rekem - both worth a visit. We did not go into Lanaken itself as our time there was too short.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0
We have stayed before and it was good.
We have stayed before and it was good. This time, however, we were not informed that the restaurant was closed. It's in a remote place so having to get back in the car after a long journey didn't suit us. The windmill was covered with scaffolding - again, not informed that workmen were around. Only one other guest, and hosts were not present until we waited 20/30 minutes for them to come to let us in, and the woman came back for breakfast (which had to be chosen on arrival by way of a tick-sheet). As I said, it's in a remote place so nowhere to walk to; around 20 mins drive to town or shopping outlet. Sadly, the changes have turned it into a place we won't be visiting again.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It was a very nice stay.
It was a very nice stay. The appartment was comfortable and we enjoyed going for long walks in the neighbourhood. There are more than enough places around to go out for dinner if you would like to do that.Guest review bylilacnoraBelgium - 10.0

Zutendaal is a good place to stay if you like nature and tranquillity. You will be happy there if you want to hike as a pedestrian or with the bike. There are several routes, cards are available at different places of the National Park.Guest review bySivLindSpain - 10.0

The place was very cozy and clean, the location of this house was very beautiful, situated next to the Vijverzicht lake. The house contained all of the necessary things needed for a stay. Perfect location to travel around the Limburg area, with very good access to grocery shoppings and restaurants in the vicinity. Close to Maastricht as well. Very good value for money.Guest review byJánSlovakia - 8.0

Maasmechelen is an excellent place to stay to visit the area where Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany meet. Recommend traveling by car. Maasmechelen is close to roads going to Maastricht, Aachen and Antwerp. Restaurants, supermarkets and the Maasmechelen Village Mall are nearby. Maasmechelen is also next to the Hoge Kempen National Park.Guest review byPatrickUnited States - 8.0

They charge for a pet 25 Euros which is as per my opinion quite a high price. We were staying at the receptionist for a while. We rang the bell, but nobody attended us. There was a notice on the table though informing us to go to the lounge area and get someone's attention. I approached a waitress. She left at once what she was doing and went with me to check us in. She had a quite stern facial expression without any welcoming manners. I do not blame her. If I do work as a waiter and as a receptionist at the same time I would be under the pressure as well.Guest review byigorUnited Kingdom
