A little gem of Ardennes with little streets peppered with fancy bars, restaurants and shops. Good both for a one-day trip and for a longer stay. Nice nature around, and a paradise for kayaking. The castle is unmissable.
The castle is unmissable. The walking in the area is excellent. The Tombeau du Geant and the Belvedere viewing platform near Bouillon are well worth visiting. Small town with a few nice places to eat.
Small town with a few nice places to eat. We only go here for the mountain bike race each year. So we eat in the town and buy things at the local shops. Florenville is a pretty little Belgian town in the edge of the River Semois. You can walk up to the top of the church tower and see the views over the valley. The area is very beautiful and everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful, even though our French isn't very good. There are wonderful hikes and even fishing spots. We went to a brewery called La Tharēe Bière and had a great time. We had dinner at Contes de Salme and I cannot recommend the stonegrill meals enough, so good and so much fun!
