The village of Shiroka Laka is small, cozy and a perfect getaway. The villa was a 5 minute walk to the small grocers (2) and restaurants. The villa has 3 decks. We ate breakfast every morning on the one off the kitchen. The lower deck had the jacuzzi. The third deck had the BBQ grill which we did not use. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. There's even a washer and dryer. We didn't have time to try the sauna.. We were too busy enjoying the jacuzzi, with Spotify Bluetoothed to the little Sony speaker. The bedrooms were comfortable and well furnished. It's a rustic villa with modern conveniences. There are even electric awnings on the deck if needed. Loved this place. FYI - if you drive up the cobblestone road by the house, you can continue up past it to the top and turn around in a small parking lot. We used the road to get closer to the house to unload the car. It's a great villa.

    A very nice hotel, with an extremely good location. Polite staff with attention to small details. Wonderful and varied food in the restaurant with very good service from the waiters. Pets are also allowed in the hotel, which gives an advantage to visit it in the future. The pool has warm water, the sauna was great. The masseuse is a professional. It's worth taking advantage of everything the hotel has to offer. I am very pleased. Thanks for the warm attitude.

The hospitality was marvelous - from the arrival, we were warmly greeted at the reception, and every request and/or inquiry we had was responded to as soon as possible.     In the last 7 years I have only been skiing in Bulgaria, although there are beautiful ski areas in Romania as well. Until this year I have only been to Borovets and Bansko. I think Pamporovo is very suitable for any level of skiing and even more attractive than the other resorts mentioned. 1st place - Pamporovo!

    The hotel building was good.

    The hotel building was good. The spa was very small and inadequate. The restaurant was very, very bad. All the food was either stale food in the microwave or ready-made frozen food (pizza). The grilled meat dish had a very bad smell, we couldn't eat it. It was an off-season stay. You shouldn't use the restaurant in off-season stays. It was far from the center and restaurants.

    Great property decorated with incredible eye for the details and in a very relaxing and beautiful location. The owner was amazing, gave us detailed information about the village and the nice places to visit around as well as prepared unique breakfasts, typical for the Bulgarian cuisine in this region. I would highly recommend a visit to this unique place.

    Shiroka Laka is a traditional Rhodope Mountain village that has preserved some of the most beautiful Bulgarian traditions. It is in the heart of the mountain surrounded by woods of pine trees. There you can see traditional bulgarian house and enjoy delicious food. If you want a peaceful and relaxing vacation in the heart of Rhodope Mountains this is the place to be. The village is located short driving distance from major sightseeing places. Nature is amazing, there!

    Don't go on Feb school holidays - it's too crowded, however we went to Pamporovo for last 7 years almost every year, always great balance of service, nature, prices. This year we went in mid of Jan and it was a perfect time to come - no many ppl - slopes are almost empty - good snow - a lot of free ski instructors - nature is beautiful as always - one of lifts was replaced and this time N8 was opened

    Shiroka Luka is one of the best traditional for Rhodope Mountain villages. Pretty narrow streets, beautiful houses with small gardens full of flowers and all this beauty in the middle of old huge green pine trees! We found a fantastic place to eat as well- with delicious Rhodopian cuisine and very kind and friendly staff- unfortunately I can not remember the name right now but is easy to find it . There is a hotel as well and it is Bulgarian, traditional.
