Arriving to Lençois without expectations about anything, we got the best stay we could possibly have wished for. The owner of this property, Franklin, welcomed us as his children in our first encounter and ever since, he held that level of friendliness and made us feel at home. The breakfast is great and served fresh with new variations of "salgados", cakes and juices everyday. Since the owner is a former guide, he helped us to plan all of our activities and since we're traveling on a budget he found ways for us to explore as much as possible for a low cost by renting a car and driving to the attractions instead of renting guides. You can really tell when someone loves what they are doing and are passionate about it, and this is one of those cases.

The hotel and the swimming pool were very clean. The swimming pool was a good size. It is a beautiful modernized traditional building. The room was very clean and in a good condition, it was even checked to make sure no bugs were there before we moved in. The breakfast was very good with lots of baked options and cakes, lots of choice generally, more like a lunch! The bread was excellent. They had pao de queijo.

    Very cute city with plenty of restaurants with great food. Very safe and people are friendly. Plenty of guided tours to chose from. Hikes are amazing. My husband and I took a hike by ourselves without a guide and it was fun too.

    Beautiful place in the mountains.

    Beautiful place in the mountains. Lots of possibilities for treking. I really recommend Cachueira da Fumaça and centre of the city Caeté Açu. I travelled by a car - the road was sometimes a little bit difficult to ride.

    The access road can be a little tricky!

    The access road can be a little tricky! It's a dirt road (unpaved). There is very little indication where the access road is! Google Maps is of no use! But Igatu is absolutely charming! If you want a place to relax, Igatu is just perfect! There are several hiking trails!

    Very beautiful place very calm!

    Very beautiful place very calm! And with very easy access to hikes around the area! I did the Fumaça waterfalls and it was amazing, easier than expected and the views were incredible! I did it solo, very easy hike but I do recommend having offline maps just in case. Hostels are a great way to meet fellow travelers.

    My husband and I travelled to Vale do Capão and also to another places from Chapada Diamantina more than once and we would like to go back there always. There is a lovely place to take a rest, to contemplate the nature, to do the trackings we love to do and to recharge our energyes! We reccommend a lot to try on!
