The character house is beautiful and decorated impeccably in the style of the time. The owners are responsive, patient and helpful. My room was very well appointed. There is a beautiful garden with seating and eating areas. The breakfast was delicious.

I stayed in this quiet clean inn on April 5, 2023. The place is about 20 minutes or so from the bridge to Quebec City. The house is old which is why I chose to stay there. The old part is being renovated and will be finished soon, but there is another modern section where I stayed that had a super heater, high quality bedding and its own toilet. There is also a kitchen and dining area that can sit about a dozen. For me, it was a special sight to see the old house. I also appreciated the easy going nature of the owner. The owner came to meet me and he had a great little visit and told me where things were and a little bit about one of the first settlements in Canada. I would stay here in a heartbeat again as it has old world charm and character in the old building that is very difficult to see otherwise. For me, it is a 5/5. Anything less would not suit my experience. It was signed well to get off the main road. I told my family about it and they will likely stop there when traveling through. In my view, we need to support such places as staying at x-chain hotel sends the money to corporate pockets (although I stay in hotel chains often as it is required by my job!!)

The location is amazing. You are on a lovely pastoral island and in a quiet oasis. The pool is such a wonderful option. The hosts, Sylvie and Yves, were gracious and warm. Another outstanding feature is the 5 course slow breakfast, provided by Yves, and each course described as it was served. This was one of the most outstanding meals I have had in my life, and certainly the very best breakfast. If you are a fan of granola and quick scrambled eggs and don’t want a two hour breakfast then you are missing out on an incredible experience.
