Halifax is such an easy place to navigate and walk.
Halifax is such an easy place to navigate and walk. It's a city with a small town feel. I really enjoyed the restaurants, the people and the whole surrounding area to explore. The citadel is worth going to and affordable. There are lots of pubs and Alexander Keith's Brewery has a museum and tours.Guest review byVirginiaCanada - 10.0
We greatly enjoyed Baddeck's Lobster Suppers.
We greatly enjoyed Baddeck's Lobster Suppers. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service given by Carley was excellent. All staff generated a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Bean There Cafe also offered friendly service with delicious coffee. The town is conveniently located for us to travel the Cabot Trail.Guest review bycoutureCanada - 10.0

Went to Burntcoat Head Park at low tide followed by watching the bore tide at the South Maitland Bore Station. Friendly staff at both sites and the Fundy bay tide was well shown by visiting both sites!Guest review byYang - 8.0

When I left (For the second year running) there are no facilities to obtain refreshments if you have a long wait. (I arrived because of check out time 11:30 and the flight did not leave until 16:45) That is a long wait without the ablitly to have some refreshments.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I arrived from the UK around midday at airport.
I arrived from the UK around midday at airport. Called for courtesy bus which arrived quickly. Arrived at hotel around 1pm expecting to have to wait for room. I was able to get into my room right away , which was great as I had been travelling for approximately 16 hours and was tired. Had a quick meal in restaurant which was very good. My family arrived a few hours later and we had a nice meal in the hotel. My grandchildren loved the pool. Will definitely visit again.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Typical small rural town, nice to walk around town, some historic sites. One night stay was just right. Ate at Shore Line restaurant and gift, food was very good ,server was pleasant, patient and helpful. Lots of fires burning in around the areas. Devastation can be seen in pictures, heartbreaking!Guest review bySharonCanada - 10.0

Lunenburg is an historic fishing town on the waterfront settled in the 1700s. It's worth a visit, and not too far from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Walk around the hilly streets for a self-guided tour, as there are signs in front of churches and on several street corners describing the history.Guest review bySallyUnited States - 10.0

If you want to feel like you have come home, be warmly greeted wherever you may go, then you will enjoy visiting Antigonish. Home to St Francis Xavier University (St FX), Saint Martha's Hospital, the town is a great base from which to explore hiking, beaches and local arts and crafts in NS.Guest review byDanielleCanada - 8.0

We had to be close to the ferry for an early morning crossing. Downtown was mostly closed when we arrived close to 5:00 pm. We walked to a coffee shop, but it had little to offer and we left without making a purchase. The hotel has a restaurant but we didn't want a heavy meal, so didn't eat there, but the menu looked OK. There's a pretty park across from the hotel and a beautiful view of the waterfront from our window.Guest review byLaineUnited States - 8.0
We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach!
We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach! Most restaurant food was very good. Loved whale watching and the gondola. Would have like a continental breakfast as there were no restaurants within walking distance. Also, restaurants close too early and many ran out of food so decided to close! 150 people at the pizza place (because no place else was open with availability) on a Sunday wasn’t fun.Guest review byMaryCanada
