My room is newly renovated, two new led TV, one 65+ and one 43, the bed is very comfortable and the bedding + room is clean. The pull out sofa is big and will fit two person in comfort.
Definitely better stay at Gibson than a local Airbnb at the fall/winter price.

The hosts are super kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and even took the time to show us around their beautiful little slice of paradise. The location is very convenient to go for hikes, spend a day in the beach and explore around.
Highlights: the nature around, how cozy, well though and clean are the rooms. The shower it's truly amazing and the hosts are so kind.

I recently stayed at the Painted Boat Resort and had an amazing experience. The resort is exceptionally clean and the rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. One of the highlights was the stunning view from the bedroom, which was truly breathtaking.
Although I didn’t get the chance to try the BBQ and spa facilities this time, I hope to enjoy them on my next visit. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, and when we checked out, they even provided us with information on great hiking spots and local attractions.
Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the Painted Boat Resort and highly recommend it. It’s the best resort I’ve ever been to!

We were in a room. There are three types of accommodation - heated tents , cabins and rooms. we had a great view of the inlet and the dock and a very enjoyable place to sit in the grounds overlooking all the activities. The resort was active but pleasantly quiet . There is a pub which operates from 12.00 - 8.00 p.m. with a well balanced food menue, prices for meals are reasonable ranginf from $C12-$C24 per item , servings were substantial. The dock is the the departure point for trips , there are numerous types of trips on offer. This place is an absolute gem in my opinion.

After making our reservation, I received a quick and kind response when I reached out with a special request. The place has a great view, a fantastic location, and is clean and well-equipped with amenities like a fireplace, BBQ, and hot tub. Our kids and a friend especially enjoyed the stay, made even better by Zebby’s thoughtful service. He gave us a thorough introduction to the facilities and provided a warm welcome. We look forward to visiting again!

Good for shopping, the artisans market on a Saturday well worth a visit. Good base to explore the coast. First nation museum small but interesting. Burnett Falls an easy hike. Porpoise Bay Good for beach walk. Lovely promenade to stroll along in Sechelt. Also the botanical gardens worth visiting.

As we were on a motorcycle trip with a specific agenda it didn't allow for extra time to be spent exploring Powell River but definitely a return visit is in the future plans. It's a lovely town and our accommodation was fabulous!!

It rained after we arrived, so we didn't explore too much. The following day we went of a hike near Madeira Park called Francis Point. It was absolutely beautiful and picturesque.
It is a quiet place and perfect for a get away with a partner or family.

Egmont itself is just a small settlement,with a pub and convenience store and dock. It is the take off point for the forest rail to the Skookumchuck tidal passage , a 4 kms hike on the actual trail throughthe forest , the trek is well rewarded with a stunning view of the narrows, but it is twisty and slightly rocky and care should be taken to avoid twisted ankles. There are numeous docking and excursion facilities, the road to Egmont , although twisty is well marked and paved, after you take the turn from Highway 101

Had to travel back to another town for food, the beaches, lakes, activities, etc.
There was nothing to do on site. Nothing available on site.
It appears to be a trailer park and marina that decided to make some extra cash by having motel rooms, but they call themselves a resort and post beautifully tailored pictures on their website. Incredibly misleading, scam-like behavior. The staff was lazy and vague.

Scenic area to visit with lots of great hiking and lovely towns. Our hosts had helpful information on what to do and see in the area. The Pender Harbour Blues festival at the beginning of June is fun. Could have spent more time exploring. My only comment is that some of the hiking trails could use better markings.

This was my first time traveling down the sunshine coast hwy from Lund to Vancouver, my stay at the spot was not desirable but learning a little about sechelt and the folks I met there made my trip so much better

We made our own food in our room but there is a few fast food places close, Tim Hortons and A&W.
It’s worth driving up to Sechelt too. They had an excellent gelato in Gibson which had a bakery too, love it there.

Powell River is a "jumping off point" for outdoor enthusiasts and has loads of natural beauty. The town itself is nothing special, but the local people have a welcoming, casual and unpretentious vibe that is really charming. The Old Courthouse Inn and its Edie Rae Cafe are a slice of the Victorian past. Magpie's has delicious breakfasts with a Ukrainian flare.
