Lots of restaurants to choose from, pretty town, Fort Fright at Fort Henry is awesome. This city is worth a 2nd or 3rd visit for sure. Hwy 2 from Brockville to Kingston is very scenic, worth the extra time. Lots of nice buildings to look at.Guest review byroyCanada - 10

We came for a weekend to take the 1000 island cruise and visit the Boldt Castle. I was disappointed in the lack of fall colors, but were very impressed with the organization of the cruise and was very impressed with touring Boldt Castle. There was a large of number of restaurants in the area to choose from. Would have enjoyed going to the Royal Theater, but nothing playing while we were there.Guest review byHelen - 10

We like Brockville because of the St. Lawrence River and Block House Island where you can picnic and watch the boats/ships go by. We sometimes take a boat tour. This was our first trip to the 1,000 Islands. There is no comparison between Alexandria Bay and Clayton. After the disastrous start, refusing to stay in our Alexandria Bay hotel, we stayed in Clayton. That is a beautiful town and we enjoyed our stay there.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10

I've been to Clayton many times and like the way it has changed over the years. There are several different shops to browse through and several different types of restaurants. One of my favorite things is the pier at the end of town where you can sit and watch the ships go by. Make sure to get a boat ride from Clayton Island Tours. They offer different types of boat tours. A must visit the Kingston Penn and Musem . Visit the Musem first then go on the tour of the Penn. Cruise of the island was alright . We went on the three hour tour. The entertainment on this cruise was enjoyable. Thank you. Where to eat top rated Manadrian Buffet excellent. Dennys on Bension poor service they ran out of food, salad and soup , this was at 730 pm. Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000 islands on the Canadian side. The town had some nice restaurants. The Old English Pub, Purple House and Grayson's at Wood View Inn. took a 5 Hour tour with City Cruises of the 100 Island with a stop at Boldens castle from the docks in town. It was fantastic.
