From the reception team to the restaurant and bar staff to the shuttle drivers, they went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful Our apartment had a stunning view of the mountains and was spacious and well appointed. The room service was quick and delicious and was just what we wanted after a long flight and drive. Lastly, the complimentary on-call shuttle got us anywhere quickly, from the slopes to shopping. There is a complementary private shuttle service which runs from the hotel to transport guests to the ski lifts when needed (thanks to the drivers Remi & Dylan :D). Nendaz is not the best location to access the 4 Vallees ski...
Nendaz is not the best location to access the 4 Vallees ski area and depends on one run, which was in poor condition. The alternative bus to Siviez is not especially regular and takes a fair bit of time. The new lift back via Plan de Fou is a much better return option. Many drag lifts, few chairs. Paradise for people who get vertigo from chairs. Everything works, but nothing is ultra modern or high speed. Mountain restaurants high quality. Verbier is a beautiful chic resort. You can find everything you need there. The local people are super friendly and kind. It is a little on the expensive side however. You can Ski to Verbier across the 4 Valleys. We have friends there so we go every year . Cambouse has a great restaurant and the bottom of the Vezonay has a good restaurant too . There are plenty of places to stop and eat or drink on the slopes . The Printse ski pass is good for teens as it’s an area that is well structured so it’s hard to get too lost . Hemmed in by mountains covered in acid-rain-affected trees, with very limited hours of sunlight. Nendaz is nicely situated in the center of 4 Vallées ski-area so one can go anywhere and see everything in a week, although we hope to stay once for 2 weeks. Not too big village, but big enough to have everything one may need. I enjoyed Veysonnaz.
I enjoyed Veysonnaz. We picked it to be a slower pace than Zermatt, where we went first, so it gave us a different experience than Zermatt, which was what we were looking for. Much more quint and slower paced and certainly less crowded. The views are spectacular from almost anywhere. Great ski bus service. Nice servers in the restaurants and good food. La Cambuse is a cozy and warm place, with Jerry and Rodica being excellent hosts. All the food is exceptional, and I especially enjoyed the fondue valaisanne aux tomates. The restaurant has also a beautiful panoramic view. As an added convenience, the ski slope is right in front of the building.
