The property is beautifully nestled along a bubbling brook, close to lake Arenal with an easy drive to Liberia airport and all the hiking and activities near LaFortuna. Trent was a great host with great recos on places to eat nearby. (Gingerbread House is a must for dinner!) . Nice pool and amazing landscaping. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Great coffee, fresh orange juice and fresh fruit. eggs, meat. etc. highly recommend!

We felt so welcome and at home at Toucan Lane thanks to Johanna. We stayed in the most beautifull room with our 2 kids. The location was good to go to the different activities and still enjoy the nature. We would certainly recommed Toucan Lane.

The past reviews are true: this is a marvelous home of two amazing hosts which I am so glad we met. The suite room is very comfortable with an amazing bed and very large bathroom. Almost royalty! There is a balcony where you can relax with the view plus a pool downstairs. The breakfast was indeed unique and tasty. Truly amazing hospitality

Comfortable, nicely decorated, spacious room. The views from the balcony are great and although we were not very lucky with the weather, we really enjoyed our stay at Lucky Bug B&B. The hosts are really friendly and helpful.

    Our trip was mostly rejuvenation, health and to access the volcano and hot springs. We went to Arenal park and hiked the trail to the Volcano. We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout. Staff and Service were top notch.

    The scenery in Nuevo Arenal is amazing.

    The scenery in Nuevo Arenal is amazing. Both the volcano and the lake offer many chances for impressive photographs. The town has the necessities that a visitor might need. Restaurants serve good food at good prices.

    Everything was great,

    Everything was great, only down side is the busy narrow road around the town. Outer locations were quieter! We Loved Nuevo Arenal. It is a quaint little town about 40 min from Arenal Town. Although you can not see the Volcano from there, there are Beautiful views of Lake Arenal.. Great Restaurants and People.

    Not convenient for La Fortuna.

    Not convenient for La Fortuna. It was a 20 min windy road drive each way. Nuevo Arenal was really noisy with dirt bikes and cars driving through. City has little to offer as far as food and entertainment.

    The town is beautiful and located in a beautiful lush area.

    The town is beautiful and located in a beautiful lush area. There are cute little restaurants and sodas. The locals were very friendly. My only complaint would be that the restaurants and stores etc close too early. It was hard finding something to eat/drink later in the evening
