- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 797 reviewsI recently stayed at Richmond Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a beautiful park, surrounded by nature, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Our room for three was spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view from the balcony. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. Special thanks to a kind staff member who assisted us with our meals due to health conditions – her help was greatly appreciated. The food was diverse and delicious, and we also enjoyed the well-maintained swimming pool. Overall, Richmond is a perfect choice for anyone seeking a tranquil retreat with great service and amenities. Highly recommended!Guest review byElinaCzech Republic
- From US$219.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 8,322 reviewsAmazing hotel, one of the best I've ever stayed in. Room was large, well equipped, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Loved the rainfall shower and the hotel branded toiletries. Restaurant was fantastic, 7 course evening meal was worth it. Breakfast was tasty, although it can get busy on the weekend. Most important aspect of any hotel are the staff; everyone was extremely polite and very helpful. In front of the hotel there are brass cobbles with names of famous guests. It's fun to search through the variety of names; ranging from Peter the Great to Keira Knightley.Guest review byKarl DarkinsNetherlands
- From US$279.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 3,577 reviewsThe hotel exceeded our expectations – it is comfortable and features well-developed and extensive spa facilities. The staff were very helpful. Although from the outside it looks like a Soviet-era building, the quality of maintenance and the level of comfort are up to modern standards. I can’t comment on the reasonableness of the prices during peak season, as we stayed during the off-peak period (March), but at that time, it was definitely worth the price.Guest review byAnatolyGermany
- From US$348.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,868 reviewsThe wellness area is great, there are 4 different types of sauna including a hammam. The outdoor swimming pool was heated and the other swimming pools were also great. There is a pillow menu so you could order a scented pillow (pine, lavender for example) which help for better sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a half board stay. The breakfast was very good and so the diner.Guest review byCarolineFrance

Very cute little town - scenic with beautiful buildings.
Very cute little town - scenic with beautiful buildings. We only stayed one night and would loved to have been there longer to really explore. We ate at one of the beer brewery restuarants around the corner from our accommodation and the food was delicious.Guest review byAnna EszterNetherlands - 10.0
The Singing Fountain is just magical--especially at night!
The Singing Fountain is just magical--especially at night! Try to go when it's open. The town center is quiet, peaceful, and safe. It's a very walkable place in general. Drinking water from all its springs was fascinating. The food options were quite good--no chains but a lot of "mom and pop" places with no shortage of cuisine types. The locals don't speak the best English, but that's to be expected in a small town. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and spring is definitely the best time of year to go!Guest review byMichaelCzech Republic - 10.0
Nice and relaxing town.
Nice and relaxing town. We went in March so there were not many tourists. We enjoyed walks on the town's colonade and surrounding parks full of healing springs. They are good for multiple diseases. We enjoyed wellness that our hotel offered, massages and mud baths. It was nice to relax and de-stress. There are many historical sights in the area and surrounding villages and towns. Cheb town and Loket town are in driving distance with castles and interesting history.Guest review byKristynaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Cheb is a town with a fascinating history and a main square...
Cheb is a town with a fascinating history and a main square (commemorating King John of Podebrad) that has buildings dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries. Check out particularly the houses at the far end of the square and read their history. It's a varied and interesting street scene. The main church at the far end of the square is Romanesque in origin but parts were destroyed in the war. As always in central Europe some buildings suffered in the various wars in the 16th and 17th centuries. Some buildings are typical of the Art Nouveau/secession style and have been well restored. We were really glad to have visited this part of Sudetenland - now ,of course thoroughly Czech even if some people do still speak some German. Restaurants weren't particularly memorable but the beer (as always!) good. Always make sure you arrive at a restaurant by 7.30 latest: most close at 8.00Guest review byValerieAustria - 6.0

In my view the local authorities and hotel owners should take better care of cleaning the snow inside the town and organising traffic on the town premises. It was really hard and sometimes dangerous to walk the streets because of the piles of snow and many cars trying to pass through the narrow streets full of snow.Guest review byŠtěpánkaCzech Republic - 10.0

The old town was beautiful. The hiking trails in the surroundings offered great views of the old town, and a nice place for forest bathing. Also, there are good bicycle paths that are well sign-posted.Guest review byWSingapore - 10.0

Jáchymov is a small and charming town nestled in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge / Krušné hory). We were truly impressed by its rich history, which adds a special atmosphere to the place. The town has a local museum and a large Catholic church. Another great advantage is its convenient location near several ski resorts, making it an excellent base for winter sports enthusiasts. Overall, Jáchymov is a lovely town with a unique historical charm, perfect for both exploring and relaxing! 🏔️✨Guest review byJulia and Friedrich MerzGermany - 8.0

I think Sokolov is quite underestimated as a tourist attraction. There is a wonderful downtown square, and a worth seeing Coal Minors' house. We had some meal at the restaurant Galeria situated at the main square. Nice staff and meal. Strongly recommend it. ot far from Sokolov there is a Bernard's State, It is a wonderful place with a pleasnt atmosphere in the midst of nature.Guest review byNataliaCzech Republic - 10.0

Lovely small town with a beautiful castle/ chateau where you can also see the relics of St Maur and you can have a lovely lunch or a coffee and cake in a wonderful cafe there. Great choice of soups! It was also interesting to read about the history of the gallows on the way up to Execution hill.Guest review byVendulaCzech Republic - 6.0
I expected it to be my dream place for enjoying a spa...
I expected it to be my dream place for enjoying a spa experience, and at the end there was nothing available of that sort, maybe only in the very expensive hotels. Mine was a decent hotel, but did not have pool, and there were two public places that were not appealing at all. The town was nice, but most places close very early. I ate a decent meal at the popular Check restaurant in town(had to try at least once), nothing amazing, just ok.Guest review byMimi IsraelUnited States
