This is a wonderful hotel in a quiet location with the most amazing views of the surrounding mountains. We flew into Salzburg and hired a car to drive the 20 minutes to the hotel. The drive was easy and the views were stunning. The hotel is walking distance to Freilassing train station too. The location was perfect for driving through the mountains to visit Berchtesgaden, the Eagle's Nest and Lake Koniggsee, all of which we saw in 1 day. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and were informed that the restaurant was still open for dinner. The restaurant needs it's own review because it was one of the best meals we had on our trip! The room was the biggest and most functional room we had throughout Europe. There was loads of storage, a nice hot shower of a decent size and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included with the room and had the most amazing variety on offer.

The rooms were spotless, the washroom fittings and design top notch, and the beds + linens very comfortable. The attention to detail shones through. Breakfast was splendid, the selection of local delicacies and produce were a very nice touch. The hotel is situated between the town centre and the therme baths, which is super convenient.

Extraordinary services and facilities, own restaurant, bar, coctails, wellness area with sauna and steam bath with resting rooms around, free tea, etc. Breakfast was plenty, and a lot to choose from, including such extras like smoked salmon and trout, freshly baked buns, etc. Location is just a few hundred meter away from the Austrian border - rather quiet surrounding, but the next bigger town Berchtesgaden is a good 10 if not 15 minutes by car. Room has minibar, extra bath towels and bathrobes are provided for the wellness/bath area.

    Everything. I loved outdoor pool, sauna, breakfast , room , beds, staff. If I will visit this place one more time, I will come again to this hotel and recomend to all. My dog was happy too. Staff was very nice and friendly, I never experienced such warm attitude toward dogs in hotel. It was hard to leave. The most beautiful thing was the garden with big trees surrounded by mountains. It was gorgeous with sun as well as rain and storm. We extend our trip just because we loved the hotel and garden.

    I had a fantastic stay at this apartment! The location was perfect, with easy access to local public transportation. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive to my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my visit. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient accommodation. 5 stars!

    Truly a beautiful hideaway.. very stylish hotel with fantastic helpful staff! The spa area has a complete offering and all brand new in appearance! 1st class.. The surrounding countryside is stunning.. highly recommend this hotel. Martin on reception was very helpful and Alexandra in the restaurant had us laughing and so nice .. Food was just the best they did a BBQ our evening the terrace has wonderful views. Hopefully return one day!

    Very nice spacious rooms with view to the mountains, very clean, we were surprised to have already the couch prepared for our child with a small teddy bar on it even if we did not asked for it. Very nice Sky bar. My husband forgot his tooth brush and they helped him with anew one. The hotel is closed to everything by foot :)

    Berchtesgaden is an amazing place for a vacation.

    Berchtesgaden is an amazing place for a vacation. There is so much to do with free bus access to hikes and other interesting sites. The town itself offers many dining options, places to visit, and a very helpful tourist info center. Berchtesgaden is easily accessible by train and a stay in a guest house gets you free bus service throughout the whole fantastic region. We highly recommend it as a place to visit for at least several days. We stayed six and could have stayed longer to take advantage of the many beautiful hikes in Alpine National Park.

    It was a good place to stay for us to visit both Salzburg and Berchetsgarten, where we went up to the Eagles nest and visited the recently opened new Documentation Centre and Hitler's Bunkers - well worth visiting.

    Good location near Berchtesgaden and National Park with picturesque and relaxing river through town. However due to mainroad crossing through the length of Ramsau village, one must be constanly alert of car and motorcycle traffic.

    We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee...

    We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee lake. We managed all of those things, including a boat ride on the lake to the church which was well worth it. Although I can imagine in the summer would be a bit overwhelmingly busy. We visited the Documentation Centre about the 2nd world war. It is presented very well, I feel everyone should see something like this so we can appreciate the freedom we have and try to live more peacefully. The Rossfeld panoramic drive was amazing with great views. A beautiful walk through the Marchenpfad forest with lovely wood carvings all the way through was very calming and relaxing. I wish we'd had more time to do more walks in the local area and maybe factor in a bit of relaxation time just looking at the mountains.

    Piding itself is a small town, we didn't "do" much in the town itself. However there is a great bakery and supermarkets, all you'll need nearby. Its a great location as a base for other adventures!

    For the travelers moving from western Austria or southern Germany to Salzburg or eastern Austria, this small town could be an alternative option to stay for short period. There is nothing special but its location.

    It was a beautiful little village very close to Salzburg.

    It was a beautiful little village very close to Salzburg. Peaceful, quiet and very friendly. Everywhere looked well maintained and pretty with lots of flowers on the houses. Nearby petrol station with little shop.

    A beautiful area but you do need to be fortunate with the weather to appreciate it. If you are visiting Obersalzburgh and the Kehlestein, make sure it is fine before booking, or just hope you are lucky.
