There is a lot to look at in Berlin, public transport is good but if you are prepared to walk you will find many interesting buildings and canal walks. Not far from Berlin HBF is the Hamburg HBF, which has a range of art installations inside that are well worth looking at and listening to, worth the entrance fee. Just at the back of the building is a canal that I wandered along and came across an old East German look out tower, you can climb to the top and experience the not so good Berlin history, entrance is free to the tower. The apartment was in a quiet serene area. Walking distance to Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch. Rewe supermarket within walking distance. Bustop right outside the apartment. Berlin is a city that ticks a lot of boxes. Really interesting from a historical point of view, great transport, good for shopping and plenty of restaurants. Also, prices are not too high, certainly cheaper than Dublin! Lots of beautiful parks. Also, take a trip to Potsdam and Wansee, a short, easy journey from Berlin.Guest review byClaireIreland
